The application features an “open shipment dashboard,” which allows the user to view a display of the overall shipping process. This display includes everything from the shipment’s origin and destination to its schedule, delays, and estimated time of arrival. All of this information is sent as real-time updates directly to the user’s mobile device.

Users can filter the freight-tracking display by customer, carrier, origin, and destination. All freight deliveries within the app can be viewed on a map, and users can access full contact information and shipment properties at the touch of a button. Export shipping service: BorderGuru, a new offering from e-commerce service provider Hermes, makes it easier for online retailers to sell and ship products internationally.

BorderGuru uses plug-ins for popular e-commerce frame-
works that integrate with the retailer’s website. Customers place
their online orders as usual, and the BorderGuru solution takes
the order and provides the customer with the complete costs
(transport, duties, and import taxes) during checkout. Then,
BorderGuru coordinates correct package labeling.

BorderGuru picks up ordered items at the retailer’s warehouse and takes them to its local hub for processing. There, BorderGuru finalizes the export declaration and has the package cleared for export. BorderGuru then ships the packages by air to the best import hub in the destination area. At the destination airport, BorderGuru oversees automated customs clearance, and duty and tax payment. Relying on its logistics network, BorderGuru delivers the packages to the customer’s door. BorderGuru can track and trace the shipment across the entire delivery process and can also manage customer returns of unwanted goods.
