Product monitoring solution: Oceasoft, a manufacturer of
wireless monitoring solutions for temperature-sensitive goods,
has released OceAlert, a new solution designed to enhance cold-chain monitoring and help reduce the risk of product loss.
OceAlert is an automated real-time alert generation solution
that offers a high level of protection for sensitive and perishable
products. When alarm conditions are detected and reported
by Oceasoft dataloggers, OceAlert sends alerts via text or voice
message to a configured list of phone numbers, any time of day
or night. Users receive clear and timely information regarding
the cause and location of the anomaly. When a notification message is received, the user can acknowledge receipt of the alert
directly from his/her mobile device and take appropriate action
to address the problem.
This new offering is compatible with Oceasoft’s existing range
of Cobalt, Emerald, and Atlas dataloggers. Without any hardware installation, OceAlert can be deployed rapidly across any
organization, ensuring high availability through a robust and
secure implementation, the company says. (Oceasoft, www.

Io T SIM: Communications provider MetTel has launched the first
SIM (subscriber identity module) for the Internet of Things (IoT)
that roams to identify and automatically connect to the strongest
signal globally. Io T Single SIM was developed to ensure the best
possible connectivity no matter the device or location, and is suitable to handle supply chain, retail, and other industry challenges.
According to MetTel, no other single SIM can securely connect
devices automatically to the Io T with the strongest signal via the
four major U.S. and 650 worldwide carriers.
The MetTel IoT Single SIM offers real-time data on session
activity that provides a current view of product status and location on anything from a mobile phone to a jet engine. It also
archives the past 48 hours of sessions for reference and analysis.
Geo-fencing gives the device the ability to proactively self-report
when it has entered special zones or reached its destination, so
businesses are making informed decisions with always-on mobile
tracking, engineering, and analytics. (Met Tel, www.mettel.net)
Analytics tool: Supply
chain network solution provider HighJump Software
Inc. has launched an
“actionable analytics” feature for HighJump Pulse,
the company’s supply chain
analytics application. The
tool gives users insights into
which actions they need to take to enhance their workflows and
allocate resources to respond to priority challenges.
The amount of high-value data worth visualizing is growing
rapidly, and much of that information can offer actionable
insights if analyzed properly, the company says. The actionable analytics tool lets decision-makers take steps to improve
their supply chains by analyzing data from myriad sources and
applications, then presenting it in charts and graphs in a single
dashboard. Users can drill down on interactive visuals, find the
relevant data source, and take action to improve processes.

Modular warehouse walkway: Wildeck Inc. and its subsidiary,
Ladder Industries, have released the new LadderLink modular
access system, which provides an affordable and rugged framework of five core bolt-together components that will allow users
to easily create a customized access solution for distribution centers, warehouses, and manufacturing operations.
According to the company, the LadderLink system utilizes a
framework of five pre-engineered steel components that easily
combine to create virtually endless configurations of work platforms, crossovers, and stairs. A continuous toe-board/kickplate
and handrail on platforms, ladders, and stairs improves safety,
while standardized components reduce delivery time, are easy
to assemble, and increase productivity and efficiency. The
LadderLink system allows customers to reconfigure their access
needs in response to facility changes and growth, and includes
the following standard components: diamond plate platform
decks, guardrail with continuous handrail and kickplate; towers/
supports; vertical access ladders/ships ladders; and OSHA- and
IBC-compliant stairs. (Wildeck, www.wildeck.com)
Storage lockers: Apex Supply Chain Technologies LLC has introduced a full line of lockers designed to safeguard valuable equipment and improve efficiency by allowing warehouse workers to
keep track of their equipment at all times. Workers use their ID
cards to gain access to their lockers and enter a code to notify
the system that the equipment has been turned in. (Apex Supply
