Material racks for scissor lifts: JLG Industries Inc., a manufacturer of aerial work platforms and telehandlers, now offers material racks for large rough terrain (LRT) and rough terrain (RT) scissor lifts. The racks are designed to help operators safely transport larger materials around the workplace.

The racks feature nylon straps to hold heavy materials in place. Rated for outdoor use, they include a foldable cradle that accommodates a variety of building supplies, including piping and flat materials. For wide panels, the racks feature extendable arms for loading.

To ensure extra-large materials can be transported easily, the racks include fixed deck footers that allow the extension deck to expand and retract. The racks can support up to 860 pounds of material while allowing two operators on the platform. (JLG Industries Inc., www.jlg.com)

Collapsible bulk container: Reusable packaging specialist Orbis Corp. has introduced the collapsible HDMX4048-46 MaxCube container to optimize bulk beverage shipments. To save space, up to eight HDMX4048-46 MaxCube containers can be stacked when collapsed (with lids), resulting in a 14% increase in return efficiency, the company says.

The HDMX4048-46 MaxCube series is a collapsible straight-wall container, offered in the industry-standard 40- by 48-inch footprint. It holds up to 1,200 pounds and more than 40 cubic feet of product. Like all Orbis bulk containers, the MaxCube model is structural-foam molded with high-density polyethylene for strength and durability, and can be recycled at the end of its service life. Truck-safety service: Drivewyze, a connected truck solutions provider, has launched its Drivewyze Safety Notifications service. The new service, currently being offered at no charge to subscribers of the Drivewyze PreClear weigh-station bypass service, provides alerts when a Drivewyze-enabled truck approaches a high-rollover area and alerts drivers to upcoming low bridges. Ocean shipping platform: The Canadian division of logistics service provider DB Schenker has launched its Connect 4.0 shipping portal, giving customers a more user-friendly interface for booking and managing ocean shipments. This new portal will go beyond the company’s current online platform, eSchenker. It’s designed to allow shippers to get a quote, book a shipment, and track that shipment from pickup to delivery.
