Ryder customers can log their fuel receipts
using image-reading technology within
RyderGyde to quickly enter and store the
information. The RyderGyde fuel-receipt capture feature mitigates challenges around fuel-tax reporting. RyderGyde users in the U.S. can
also view their Ryder contracted fuel rates and
rates of other fueling stations to help them
make the right decisions regarding fueling.

Drive technology: To greatly reduce cabinet
and enclosure requirements for machine builders and manufacturers, Beckhoff Automation
has introduced the AMP8620 supply module.
The AMP8000 distributed servo drive system provides support for the implementation
of modular machine concepts. The entire
motion system can be mounted directly on
the machine. This means drive technology can
now be implemented entirely without control
cabinets, resulting in savings in cost, materials, space, and installation work.
While coupling modules have already
reduced the requirements for connecting
distributed AMP8000 drives to the control
cabinet to just one cable, the cabinets can
now be completely eliminated when using
the AMP8620 supply module. Eliminating the
need for a control cabinet further reduces the
footprint and cabling requirements for the
entire machine.
The AMP8620 module connects directly
to the mains supply. It contains all circuitry
required for that purpose, such as mains
filters, rectifiers, and charging circuits for the
integrated DC link capacitors. The supply
module enables the optional connection of
additional distribution modules or distributed
AMP8000 servo drives. It is also equipped
with two EtherCAT P outputs, which can
either supply EtherCAT P modules or connect
to any additional supply modules needed for
motion-system expansions. The safe 24-volt
power supply unit integrated in the module
ensures that the logic power supply does
not exceed the permissible level. (Beckhoff

Bi-directional trailer: Material handling equipment manufacturer Jtec Industries
Inc. has added a new heavy-duty bi-directional trailer to its CarryMax product line.
This trailer is capable of carrying up to 5,000 pounds of materials with its “two rigid
wheels and two swivel wheels” design, which is required for safe towing. The trailer
can be reconfigured with one turn of an ergonomic handle to a “one rigid wheel
and three swivel wheels” design so it can be pushed in multiple directions (including
