Guard rails: The Beacon BGR series of
galvanized guardrails are designed to be
used in distribution facilities, warehouses,
parking garages, and manufacturing plants.
Constructed from galvanized steel, these
protective barriers are rated for 4,000 pounds
of crash force at 4 miles per hour. The rails
can be installed in building exteriors as well
as interiors to protect equipment, workers,
office buildings, and machinery from fork
truck damage. As well as providing physical
protection, guardrails serve as a visual guide
for facility traffic.
Units require two or three mounting posts.
Single rail units range in length from 48 inches
to 144 inches, while post heights are available
in 18 inches, 24 inches, 42 inches, 60 inches,
and 72 inches. Rail mounting hardware comes
standard, with a number of optional features,
including end guards, brackets, spring posts,

Plastic tote: The FP403 plastic tote from
Orbis Corp. has a large internal capacity,
which makes it suitable for the handling, storage, and shipment of bulky items, like apparel
and home goods, or small lightweight items,
such as office supplies. This reusable plastic
container comes with an attached lid and
works in many automation systems.
The FP403 is the newest addition to Orbis’s
FliPak product line of plastic containers and
totes. Like all FliPak containers, the FP403
stacks when full and nests when empty.
The FP403 also features an improved hinge,
available in plastic or metal. The metal hinge
wire is bent down, stopping it from leaving
the hinge channel, leaving only plastic at the
end of the hinge elements. This helps prevent
product damage and improves worker safety.
In addition, a new feature keeps the lid in the
upright position so it is easier for employees
to load or unload the tote.
The 28- by 20- by 15-inch FP403 can
accommodate larger products in transit and
has a 14-inch product clearance. It has a reinforced rim and corners, lid ribbing for added
strength, and a contoured handle. Customers
can choose from a textured solid bottom or a
bottom with a drain hole.
The FP403’s smooth, nonporous, hygienic
construction means it does not absorb moisture or odor. The all-plastic design ensures
dimensional consistency and repeatable performance in automated systems.
The totes have an extended service life of
up to 250 trips and can be fully recycled when
they have reached the end of their service life.

Workforce management software: TZA has released a new version of its
Pro Track Workforce Management software with an enhanced enterprise dashboard
module. The new dashboard features data analytic and visualization technology
for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) for workforce and operational
productivity and utilization. With the new enterprise dashboard module, users can
quickly see summary information about how their workforce is being utilized within
the warehouse. They can view data in aggregate across all facilities or drill down
