Technical Focus Lecture Thursday afternoon. The lecture
was titled “Nanostructured Block Copolymer Coatings
with Inspiration from Biology: Taking Advantage of
Hydrogen Bonding and Electrostatic Interactions.”
The FutureCoat! conference offered more than 70 educational presentations, broken down into five
tracks–corrosion, waterborne, green chemistry, additives
and characterization/nanotechnology. In addition, 40
tabletop exhibits showcased the latest products and tech-nolgies for the paint and coatings industry.
CHANGE TO FUTURECOAT!
As of next year FutureCoat! will been renamed The
CoatingsTech Conference. This key educational event is
designed to complement the biannual American Coatings
Conference and will be held April 28-29 at the Mariott
Indianapolis Dowtown, Indianapolis, IN. The theme of
the 2009 CoatingsTech Conference is “Embracing the
