store locations, product data sheets and
other tools needed to run their business
and help customers while on the go.
“Professional painters don’t often
have the luxury of waiting until they
have access to a computer to find important data they need to conduct the
business at hand. The new ProBuy+ app
puts those tools within a few clicks on
their phone, avoiding delays while on a
job or in the field,” said Jeff Winter, director of marketing, residential repaint,
Sherwin-Williams.
Contractors in need of supplies and
equipment can look to the new paint app
as a guide to the latest ProBuy deals, even
sending alerts when the newest ProBuy
offering has arrived.
The ProBy+ app also makes helping
customers easier. Contractors can explore
the latest coating innovations and find
information to explain the benefits of
each type of paint. They can also access
the complete Sherwin-Williams color palette and swipe through more than 1,500
Sherwin-Williams paint colors conveniently arranged by color family. A paint
calculator is included as well.
Along with these tools, the app gives
contractors access to their Sherwin-Williams account information. Users can
simply log on to myS-W.com to obtain
balances, statements and invoices, and
even make payments from their phone.
Sika Acquires Addiment
Italia from Buzzi Unicem
Sika AG acquired the remaining shares
of the Italian based Addiment Italia from
its joint venture partner Buzzi Unicem.
The company manufactures concrete admixtures and cement grinding aids. The
transaction will strengthen Sika’s production set up in Italy. Addiment Italia generated sales of € 14 million in 2014.
Addiment Italia has a history of more
than 25 years of experience in the con-
struction market offering a broad range
of concrete admixtures and cement grind-
ing aids. In 2003 Buzzi Unicem and Sika
AG formed a joint venture in
order to produce an innovative
range of construction chemicals
that enhance the quality and per-
formance of concrete and cement.
Pietro Buzzi, co-CEO of Buzzi Unicem:
“The cooperation between Buzzi Unicem
and Sika as joint venture partners of
Addiment Italia has continued effectively
for more than twelve years, with good
understanding of the common goals and
management decisions that led to great
results for both employees and share-
holders. We hope that our future business
relationship will continue with the same
long lasting success.”
Paul Schuler, Head of region EMEA:
“The acquisition will allow us to fur-
ther build upon the successful partner-
ship between Buzzi Unicem and Sika in
the admixture business worldwide and
strengthen the operational footprint in
Italy. We welcome the new employees on
board and look forward to developing
the business together.” CW
