Shamrock Technologies, Inc. has an- nounced that it has named Al Pape president to advance the company’s
history of helping customers address
complex lubricating additives challenges. As
president, Pape will
lead the company in
expanding the breadth
and global footprint of
its market-leading line
of specialty micronized
powders, dispersions,
emulsions and compounds including
PTFE, waxes and other additives.

for our customers. Al will play a vital role
in writing the next chapter of our success,” said Shamrock CEO Bill Neuberg.

leader of specialty additives in both our
core and new markets around the globe.”
Pape’s extensive leadership experience
includes having served as vice president of
Oilfield Technologies with Ingevity (
formerly MWV Specialty Chemicals), where
he was responsible for global business
strategy and development. Prior to that,
he held leadership roles in sales, marketing and strategy for specialty chemical
leaders Kraton Polymers and Sartomer
Company. Over the last 20 years, Pape
has gained deep experience across many
of Shamrock’s key markets such as inks,
coatings and thermoplastics.
Pape earned an MBA from the
University of Rhode Island and a BS in
chemistry from Moravian College in
Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. He also completed executive education at the Wharton
School of the University of Pennsylvania
including innovation, strategic alliances
and leading high-performance teams.
PPG Announces Executive
Appointments
PPG has announced that Vince Morales
and John Jankowski were appointed to
new positions. Both appointments are effective June 1.
Vince Morales, currently vice president,
investor relations, and
treasurer, will have continued responsibility for
investor relations and
assumes additional responsibilities as vice
president, finance.
John Jankowski, who
joined PPG in 2013 in
his current position of
assistant treasurer, is appointed vice president
and treasurer.
Morales joined PPG in 1985 and held
a variety of finance leadership roles of
increasing responsibility including manager, sales/exchange accounting; director,
managerial/financial accounting; and vice
president, investor relations.
Jankowski began his career in 1990
at Bethlehem Steel Corp. as an engineer
and then a production manager. In 1995,
Jankowski joined H.J. Heinz Co., where
he worked for 18 years and advanced
through finance leadership roles.
VersaFlex Launches South
America Division, Appoints
New Business Manager
VersaFlex has announced that Fernando
Costa will become the business manager of its new South America Operation.
With nearly three decades of experience
in the chemical industry and over 10
years of experience in the polyurea and
related coatings industry, Costa holds
a degree in Chemical Engineering and
has worked to formulate and manufacture products in a variety of industries,
including paints, coatings, ceramics,
and nanotechnology.
Most recently, Fernando was the CEO
of Marmai Company, Ltda. of Sao Paulo,
Brazil. Costa’s primary objective will be
to establish VersaFlex South America as
the premier polyurea coatings and linings
systems supplier in the region. He will
oversee all South American business as it
relates to VersaFlex Incorporated. He will
work to further educate and advance the
polyurea protective coatings and linings
industry in the region.
Maroon Group Expands
Coverage in Midwest
Maroon Group continues to expand its
U.S. reach with the addition of Michael
Yarnelle as its newest account manager to cover Northern Indiana and the
Chicago area.
Yarnelle has a long history in chemical
sales, including 16 years working for the
Cary Company in covering a variety of
industries including CASE, plastics, food,
printing ink, lubricants, pharmaceuticals, and rubber compounding markets.
He also spent time as a sales representative for Sacco Mid-States and Hydrite
Chemical, in which he developed new accounts for titanium dioxide, alkyd resins,
polyurethanes, calcium carbonate, paint
additives and organic solvents.
Sika Appoints Kan to Group
Management Head Building
Systesms and Industry
Sika has appointed Yumi Kan as its new
Head Building Systems & Industry and
Member of Group Management effective
July 1, 2016. She succeeds Silvio Ponti,
who will retire at the end of 2016.
Kan joined Sika Vietnam in 1992 and
as a general manager has built up Sika
Vietnam into one of the most successful companies within the Sika Group.
In 2011 she was promoted to area manager responsible for Vietnam, Philippines,
Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar.
She has more than 20 year track record of
successful leadership within Sika. CW
