Pierre-Yves Jullien, CEO of Hempel A/S
since 2005, has decided to retire after
nearly 40 years in the Group in order to
spend more time with his family and on
other activities. The Board of Directors
of Hempel A/S has initiated a search for
a new CEO of the Group. The Board of
Directors and the new CEO will focus
on making sure that the Group continues down its path of strong growth
and development. It will build on the
achievements over the last ten years, and
maintain in full compliance with the key
values inherited from the Group’s founder, J.C. Hempel.
The Board of Directors said that it is
confident that the success of the Group
will attract the optimal candidate for the
position as new CEO, and will work to
ensure a professional and smooth transition. By focusing on the business and
the staff – including new colleagues from
Schaepman in the Netherlands and Jones
Blair in the U.S. – the Board of Directors
is convinced that the Group will continue
to reach new sales records and will pass
revenue of DKK 10 billion (€1.35 billion)
in 2015, the company reported.
The Board of Hempel A/S has announced that Pierre-Yves Jullien has
been elected to the Board of the Hempel
Foundation (the sole owner of Hempel
A/S), where his thorough understanding
of the Group, accumulated through many
years at Hempel, will be a great asset for
the future.
Pierre-Yves Jullien will replace John
Schwartzbach, who has reached the
age limit for board members. John
Schwartzbach has played an important
role in the development of the Hempel
Foundation during his time on the Board
of the Hempel Foundation.
Stephen Cox Named
Kuraray Americas VP, GM
of PVB Division
Kuraray Co. Ltd. has announced
Stephen L. Cox has been named
general manager of the Polyvinyl
Butryal Division (PVB) and vice presi-
dent of Kuraray Americas, Inc. In his
new role, Cox will be responsible
for expanding the business as well
as continuing the growth of Kuraray
America’s glass lamination products
and services. Cox will based out of
Wilmington, DE and lead teams from
around the world with production sites
in the U.S., Germany and South Korea.
Q Laboratories Hires
Chemistry Leader
Matthew Lemp has been hired as
Chemistry Laboratory Group leader at Q
Laboratories, Inc. He will be responsible
for sample flow through in the Chemistry
Lab and will also have a role in analyst
training and scheduling, new client development and expanding lab capabilities.

Dixie Chemical Announces
Organizational Changes
Dixie Chemical has announced a series
of organizational and leadership chang-
es. Michael Gromacki was promoted to
senior vice president. He joined Dixie in
March of 2009 as vice president of opera-
tions and chief technology officer. Prior
to Dixie, he served at TOTAL subsidiary
Cook Composites & Polymers (CCP)
for 12 years with roles as vice president,
manufacturing director and QSE director.
In his new role, Gromacki is responsible
for operations, HSEQ, technology, engi-
neering, purchasing and human resourc-
es. He shares business oversight of the VP
of sales and marketing with the CEO.
Kelli Gregory was appointed director
of administration. Prior to joining Dixie,
she served at OxyChem as the Training
Services/Project superintendent. She
served American Acryl for 11 years, with
roles in human resources and purchasing.
Gregory is responsible for purchasing,
human resources, yraining, payroll/ben-
efits and communication.
Michael Campbell was appointed
vice president of finance and CFO. Prior
to joining Dixie, he served at Atwood
Oceanics for 13 years as vice president
and controller. Campbell served as sssis-tant controller for both Bray International
and WEDGE Group. He began his career with Ernst & Young. Campbell is
responsible for finance, accounting and
information technology.
Kevin Stellner was appointed vice
president of sales and marketing. He
recently served 11 years at 3V Inc. as
the vice president of sales. His sales
and business development career includes roles as technical sales manager
at Genencor and business development
manager at Altus Biologics. Stellner is
responsible for sales, marketing and customer service.
Palmer Holland Names
Kevin Monti New
Southwest Region Account
Manager
Kevin Monti has joined the Palmer
Holland team as a Southwest region
account manager. His territory includes southwest California, Arizona,
Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho,
Montana, Wyoming and Utah.
Monti began his career in the coatings industry in 1994 with Specialty
Coatings – now Becker Industrial
Coatings – working in manufacturing,
R&D and technical sales. He worked
as an outside sales representative for
Sherwin-Williams before joining a start-up green solvent manufacturer, Vertec
BioSolvents, as the director of product
technology and marketing. Monti has
spent the last year as director of sales and
marketing at Andrews Electronics. CW
