• BIOSAFE Antimicrobials

BIOSAFE silicon-based antimicrobials protect formulated coatings and compounded polymers for manufactured goods. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-registered, the no-VOC antimicrobials prevent deterioration and discoloration caused by fungi, prevent algae growth and inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria. Colorless and odorless, the BIOSAFE materials are positively charged polymers and can be incorporated into coatings. The product offering consists of HM 4100 Antimicrobial Dry Powder, HM 4005 Antimicrobial 5% solution in water and HM 4001

Antimicrobial 1% solution in water. With proper integration, BIOSAFE products have exceptional antimicrobial performance in ISO and ASTM testing. They are durable, leach-resistant, and non-migratory.

• Zinc Pyrithione

Biocide used as antifungal agent in decorative and architectural water-based paints. Also used in powder form in soft fouling, marine paints. Preferred due to negligible solubility in water and usage up to 2500 ppm. Effective in leaching prevention.

Biocide used as antifungal agent in
antifouling paints. Used in combination
with cuprous oxide and cuprous thio-
