• Workshop I: “Design and
Optimisation of Coatings and
Inks Formulations” will be
held November 18 at 1: 30 pm and will be led by Prof. Long Lin,
head of the Department of Color and Science at the University
of Leeds, UK. Lin’s research expertise covers coatings and inks,
coating and printing, thermochromism, photochromism, organic dyes and pigments, security printing, functional coatings and
inks, biosensors, polymeric materials, statistical experimental
design and data analysis, computer-aided process modeling and
computer-aided formulation optimization.
The workshop will provide an introduction to functional
coatings and inks and underpinning principles involved in the
development of such coatings and inks formulations.
• Workshop II: “The Evaluation of Colour” will be held
November 19 at 1: 30 pm and will be led by Peter Collins of the
Coatings Training Institute & British Coatings Federation. Based
on his 37-year of experience in paint and coatings (until recently
as PRA Technical Director),
