Confidence in our project: In these times of constant fluctuations in the world economy, companies must create a strong position for themselves in the global market place. The Mecalux Group is consistently strengthened by the endeavor to continue its international expansion and technological innovation. These two pillars guarantee the company’s pole position in the world market.

International action: Within the context of the economic withdrawal which has gripped the world economy since 2008, the performance of our company has remained stable. The value contributed by our automated warehouse division, which is attracting an ever expanding number of clients and is making great strides, provides us with confidence for the future. The Mecalux Group continues to lead the market in South America, Argentina and Brazil.

Investments: Mecalux has launched one of its most important products, the Mecalux Easy®; this new warehouse management software can be very easily installed in most companies irrespective of their size, sector and characteristics. With six customized levels it can be implemented in warehouses with different levels of automation and needs, thus improving performance and facilitating stock management. Developed entirely by Mecalux, the product has been designed in line with the objective which has always guided our work: to improve warehouse management. Another of our products which has been recently launched on the market is the new vertical storage system, the Clasimat. Its totally automated and computerized operation prevents needless movements around the warehouse and maximizes storage capacity by using the height of the warehouse. Mecalux also continued to modernize its line of automated warehouse equipment with the presentation of a new range of conveyors and stacker cranes for boxes and pallets. At the heart of all these developments is our Technological Centre in Barcelona, Spain. Many other investments were made in 2008/2009 and were distributed across our different production facilities world-wide. Formalized in March 2009, one of the most important actions taken was the signing of an agreement for the purchase of the assets of the U.S. Company, UFI Interlake. The operation involves the integration of four new production plants for Mecalux, along with the sales network and intellectual property rights of one of the leading storage companies in the United States. The aim of this key project is to expand our presence in North America.

Positive balance: Given the current financial climate, all of these achievements are particularly worthy of merit, as is the ability of our company to continue to set and achieve new goals. Because of this, the management of Mecalux would like to truly thank all those involved in our project: our professionals who have strived so hard to create this great organization, our clients who trust in us day after day, and our partners and shareholders who have led the group to the enviable situation it enjoys in the market today.
