Rising to the occasion: Kelley offers a
line of Hulk Hydraulic Dock Lifts for loading operations that service a variety of
truck styles or where space is restricted.
These powerful hydraulic lifts offer the
capability to move loads of up to 50,000 pounds, bringing the
dock to the trailer regardless of height. They are a cost-efficient
alternative to expensive and time-consuming truck well recesses
and concrete ramps, according to the company.
Hulk Dock Lifts can accommodate a wide variety of truck styles—
from 20-inch step vans or pickup trucks to high-cube vans, standard semi-trailers, and 60-inch-high stake bed vehicles. The lift-mounted controls give the operator pinpoint control to set the platform at the exact position for a level interface between the truck
and dock.
Hulk Dock Lifts can be pit- or surface-mounted inside the building or in front of the loading dock. Surface-mounted dock lifts can
be relocated if used in applications where a pit or permanent
installation is prohibited.
Hulk Dock Lifts are built with safety in mind. All units have dual
hydraulic lifting cylinders for optimal performance and velocity
fuses on the cylinders to prevent uncontrolled descent. The
hydraulic system has an upper travel limit switch to prevent damage to the unit.
Other safety features include removable, mandrel-formed tubing handrails; a maintenance safety strut; a safety tread steel deck;
safety chains across the operating ends of the platform; and four-sided electric toe guards. (Kelley, www.kelleycompany.com)
