that Sanimax, a company that reclaims animal byproducts,
used cooking oils, and other materials for recycling, improved
service to its customers after implementing HighJump’s
mobile sales and delivery applications. The company uses
HighJump’s solutions to optimize its collection routes.
; Now they’re cooking. Fiesta Gas Grills has implemented
Management Dynamics’ supply chain visibility solution to
support its expanded global procurement operations. The
global multimode solution has enabled Fiesta to improve
customer service, reduce cycle times, better manage suppliers, and proactively identify in-transit delivery issues.
; Tilt built. The Beumer Group, a German manufacturer of
intralogistics solutions, has been commissioned by the
Hermes Logistik Group Germany to equip its new distribution center at the Hannover-Langenhagen airport. The order
includes two high-capacity tilt tray sortation systems, each
with a capacity of 10,600 trays per hour.
; Sticks like glue. Weber Distribution, a third-party logistics
and supply chain management service provider, has extended its contract with Elmer’s Products Inc. Weber will distribute Elmer’s glue adhesives, arts and crafts, and office products throughout the Western United States.

launched JDA Software Group’s best-of-breed supply chain
management software solutions in its 769 stores. With JDA’s
solutions, Jo-Ann Stores expects to rebalance inventory levels, enhance accuracy, increase integration as a result of
streamlined space and merchandise planning, and boost its
exception-management capabilities.
