Appointment-Plus dock scheduling system: Distributors,
manufacturers, warehouses, and other facilities without a proven
dock-scheduling procedure face long delivery lines, increased
wait times, and unnecessary idling of trucks. Appointment-Plus
online scheduling software can automate, streamline, and
improve dock-scheduling and delivery procedures.
Appointment-Plus provides dock managers and staff with
Web-based tools. For example, the driver/carrier self-scheduling
tool allows them to view available delivery times and schedule
their shipments when it’s most convenient for them and at any
hour of the day, not just during normal facility operating hours.
Facilities simply provide the drivers and carriers with their unique
URL to access the scheduler.
Also included in the service are automated e-mail and text
message reminders that can significantly reduce the number of
late or missed deliveries. The software’s record-keeping and
reporting allow users to manage all carrier contact information
and delivery notes in one centralized, secure location.
As a Web-based application, Appointment-Plus online scheduling software requires only an Internet connection. There are no
long-term contracts for the service. A complimentary training
session is available with sign-up. (Appointment-Plus/StormSource

Hobo UX120 Pulse Logger: Onset Computer Corp. has introduced the Hobo UX120 Pulse Logger, a four-channel energy data
logger that combines the functionality of four separate data loggers into a single compact unit.
The Hobo UX120 enables energy management professionals—from energy auditors to building commissioners—to easily
track a building’s energy
consumption, equipment
run times, and water and
gas flow rates. The unit,
which can simultaneously
measure and record pulse
signals, events, state
changes, and run times, is
capable of storing up to 4
million measurements.
The Hobo UX120 Pulse
Logger has a number of
features that give users greater control over their deployments.
For example, users can start and stop the logger via software or
push buttons and set the logger so it continues to log/overwrite
data when the memory is full. (Onset Computer Corp.,

Videojet 2300 Series printers: The enhanced Videojet 2300
Series printers offer a large-character ink jet printer with superior code quality and improved flexibility for easier production-line
integration and operation. The Videojet 2300 Series printers are
capable of printing text, logos, and GS1-compliant bar codes of
up to 2. 7 inches to meet a variety of case coding needs. The
printers are able to print variable information onto cases on the
production line—a capability that can reduce inventory expense
by eliminating the need for pre-printed cases.
The Videojet 2340, 2350, and 2360 printers all feature
Videojet’s automatic micropurging of the print heads during
operation. This helps to reduce downtime while maintaining
high-quality printing, even in dusty environments. The printers
also recycle and reuse the ink that is consumed during the automatic print head micropurge.
The enhanced Videojet 2300 Series has a molded, rounded
front plate to protect the print head from impact with boxes on
the production line, ensuring consistent print quality. The printers are available with an optional remote user interface based on
the CLARiTY operating system. This remote interface makes it
easy to change settings or select messages for printers in hard-to-access areas, such as on an elevated conveyor or in tight production environments.
The printers can operate on a stand-alone basis or be integrated
into a facility’s IT infrastructure using Claricom CLARiNET networking software. Up to four printers can be linked together into a single print system. (Videojet Technologies Inc., www.videojet.com)
