Labor management system: Technology and
consulting company TZA has released a new
version of its cloud-based ProTrack Warehouse
Labor Management System. New features to
the system include dynamic alerting, an
enhanced reporting engine, and an interactive
kiosk. TZA says these enhancements will provide
managers with improved access and visibility to
critical workplace information and processes.
The dynamic alerting feature notifies the
appropriate person of operational issues that
need to be addressed. The ProTrack alerting
engine monitors all key performance metrics
across the operation. When the metric reaches
a threshold predetermined by the user, an alert
is sent to select subscribers. The alerts can be
sent to any computer or mobile device. This
allows supervisors to receive alerts when
they’re out on the floor. The alerting engine
also monitors responses to alerts.
ProTrack now also has an enhanced reporting engine that allows users to quickly and easily generate reports and dashboards to track
their operation’s key performance metrics.
ProTrack is designed to link with external
sources and then gather and report information
from them.
TZA has redesigned the system’s interactive
kiosk touchscreens so that they are easier to
use, allowing managers and associates to complete tasks and record daily activities faster and
more accurately. The more intuitive interface
also reduces the effort required to train new
employees. (TZA, www.TZA.com)

Order pickers: Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks has released the new
EOP11N2-EOP15HN2 series of order pickers for North America.
These order pickers are capable of operating in narrow-aisle and
high-rack applications.
According to Mitsubishi, the forklift trucks work well in warehouses that require optimal space utilization. With a chassis that’s
just 35. 5 inches wide, the order pickers allow operators to maneuver in tight spaces and allow for greater clearance between trucks
when they pass one another in narrow aisles.
At the same time, the order pickers’ lifting capacities remain constant, even at high lift heights. Both models are equipped with three-phase AC technology that helps to ensure strong acceleration and
high lifting speeds with low energy consumption. The EOP15HN2
order pickers maintain full capacity at lift heights of up to 295 inches,
allowing for heavier loads to be stored at higher lift heights. In addition, regenerative braking and lowering provides energy-saving benefits. The advanced energy and battery maintenance can result in longer run-times.
The operator console can be raised or lowered to adjust to the height of the
operator. In addition, customers can choose from a large range of chassis and
cabin widths. Users can also choose to add RFID Floor Control Technology, which
maps out aisles and allows for key truck functions such as end-of-aisle stopping.
Other options include LED internal cabin lighting, LED work lights, an operator
fan, and a keypad that allows operators to engage the order picker through a PIN
number. (Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks, www.mit-lift.com)
