system that can organize items of different shapes, sizes, and weights on a single
surface. The panel can provide a specific place for each item while ensuring visual
identification.
The single panel combines round hooks (for small and/or light articles), “spike”
hooks (for heavy and/or bulky items), holders for cans, and supports for plastic bins.

Returns handling system: Visual Sort, a customized system from Wynright Corp., enables
more efficient tracking and restocking of
returned inventory in DCs, according to the
company.
Visual Sort was originally designed for picking in the distribution center, but Wynright
quickly realized it could be used to process
inventory returns as well. Visual Sort is operated in the DC through an easy-to-use touch-screen, scanner, and network connection.
Once inventory is scanned into the system,
Visual Sort illuminates on the screen which
bin the worker should place returned products into.
The system requires minimal training and
accelerates the current labor-intensive return
inventory and restocking process used in
many DCs, according to Wynright.
Wynright has designed the Visual Sort system to be customizable, so it can be used for
returned inventory in both the retail and manufacturing markets. For example, a manufacturer could use Visual Sort to help it sort out
distressed returns. The system can also be
used to combine the putting or sorting of

Indoor/outdoor lift truck: While designed
to be an indoor lift truck, Nissan Forklift
Corp.’s Platinum II Nomad Series lift truck can
also be operated outdoors.
The new lift truck has solid pneumatic tires,
which allow it to operate outside on good
surfaces. According to Nissan, the Nomad lift
truck maintains higher capacity retention than
other standard pneumatic-tire models of the
same size. This characteristic makes it suitable
for shuttling material between inside operations and outside storage facilities, the company says.
The Nomad Series truck has a small frame
and is powered by Nissan’s K21 ultra-low-emission engine. According to the manufacturer, the truck features precise maneuverability, easy-to-operate systems, and rugged
