AkroShelf is a new shelf from Akro-Mills, a maker of storage products. It attaches
to Akro-Mils’ louvered hanging systems and is
wall mountable.
According to the manufacturer, the
AkroShelf is easily installed; the shelf slides
down securely on louvers and can be quickly
removed. The shelf also offers the flexibility of
being installed bracket up (as a bottom shelf
that provides protection from cleaning chemicals) or bracket down (as a top shelf that can
provide dust protection). The shelf is constructed of heavy-duty 13-gauge steel and
offers a weight capacity of 50 pounds per
shelf. The 16-gauge steel brackets include
mounting holes that allow the entire shelf to
be fastened to a wall.
AkroShelf can hold multiple sizes of 12-
inch-deep AkroBins, AkroDrawers, Shelf Bins,

Temperature/humidity recorder: Grant
Instruments and CAS DataLoggers have collaborated to create a portable device that can
measure ambient temperature and humidity
as well as current, voltage, and resistance.
The SQ2020 Squirrel Data Logger can be used
to monitor and protect perishable inventories
on a pallet, in a storage room, and in other
locations, according to CAS DataLoggers.
Squirrel SQ2020 data loggers offer a high-quality, highly accurate battery-powered
solution for measuring a broad range of
physical values—not only temperature and
humidity but also current, voltage, and resistance for use in voltage optimization.
Designed for portable data-logging applications where stand-alone operation is a must,
the devices issue an alarm and relay output
to notify workers whenever measurements
go out of specification. They are compatible
with many different types of thermocouple
and humidity sensors.
The logging devices have a fully config-urable large graphical liquid-crystal display
(LCD) and a four-button keypad. Users can
access most of the Squirrel’s functionality
without needing a PC or laptop connection.
The loggers give reliable results within minutes of activation.

Dock seal: The RS800 RainStop seal from Pentalift Equipment Corp. is designed
to prevent rain from getting into the loading dock area, causing product damage
and slippery and unsafe conditions. The Pentalift RainStop uses a stiffly sprung
5.5-inch foam-filled header curtain to create a positive seal on the top of the trailer. The RainStop diverts the water from the top of the trailer and away from the
building.
