Thank you to all the new and existing Dematic customers for whom we provided receiving to shipping solutions this past year. We appreciate your confidence in Dematic. As we enter 2013 and look to the future, our engineering teams will focus on designs and methods that will accommodate your ever changing warehouse logistics requirements, for both the production and distribution environments.

Starting with software and controls, expect to see new functionality in our WCS software suite that will offer increased operational flexibility, modularity and scalability. For example, one of our new offerings does just that. It is called Mobile Monitor, a real time software tool that brings “mission control” to your smart phone or tablet device. We look forward to including Mobile Monitor and other new software releases in your next system.

In addition, we will be focused on solutions that allow warehouse operations to accommodate multichannel distribution, enhance sustainability, reduce order processing time while increasing overall productivity. You will be seeing new designs from Dematic that will handle more SKUs in less space and optimize replenishment while more efficiently accommodating “average-to-peak” variations in order volumes.

In 2013, look for Dematic solutions that can triple traditional order picking productivity while increasing accuracy and improving worker ergonomics. Furthermore, we will be responding with new system configurations that buffer and release orders in precise sequence to support “goods to person” fulfillment, direct store delivery, and shelf re-stocking.

To enhance our commitment to lifecycle support, Dematic has expanded the offering for maintenance training by developing a portable solution. It is called the Dematic Mobile Training Unit. It consists of an over-the-road truck that transports sections of conveying and sorting technology, including controls, to your warehouse for training. This new method of training omits the need to shut down your system while technology training occurs.
