e-Learning program: Intelligrated, a North
America-based automated material handling
solutions provider, has implemented a new
“I-Campus” learning management system,
an e-learning program covering occupational
safety, Intelligrated equipment training, and
general maintenance training.
The learning modules were designed
by instructors that are authorized by the
Occupational Safety and Health Administration
(OSHA) and PMMI, the Association for
Packaging and Processing Technologies. They
are meant to satisfy the training requirements
of personnel in manufacturing and distribution facilities and were created to complement instructor-led training.
Topics covered include warehouse safety
(such as work platforms and safety); general
facility maintenance; and maintenance for
specific Intelligrated products, equipment,
and systems. Intelligrated offers both individual and companywide I-Campus subscription
options.
Because the online I-Campus portal is accessible at all times, students can complete training at their own pace. The learning management system includes management tools for
employees to track their progress and check
off milestones for supervisor verification.
Intelligrated continually expands the course
library and provides customized training plans
to meet specific employer and job requirements. I-Campus can also integrate with a
facility’s existing human resource software
system to archive training status and performance. (Intelligrated, www.intelligrated.com)
Cloud-based route accounting: HighJump
Software’s Route Administrator is now available as a cloud-based application. Like the
installed version, this route accounting solution helps with direct-to-store operations by
managing the needs of pre-sales, delivery,
and sales operations on rugged or consum-er-grade mobile devices. HighJump Route
Administrator in the Cloud is fully scalable
and can meet the needs of small to large
direct-to-store companies.
The software is appropriate for a variety of
perishable and nonperishable products, including baked goods, wine and spirits, wholesale
goods, snacks, meats, and dairy products.
The solution includes multilingual support
and is device agnostic. (HighJump Software,
