Fleet optimization software: XRS Corp. has
added a new feature to its mobile fleet optimization solution. Called TRP, the service will
help fleets manage the productivity and efficiency of their equipment and drivers within
a single application.
TRP will monitor trips and routes, providing
“planned vs. actual” reporting and real-time
insight. Fleet managers can view deviations
from a planned route and accurately project
up-to-the-minute “estimated times of arrival” as drivers progress through a trip, while
drivers can access a route plan through their
smartphone, tablet, or rugged handheld.
The XRS mobile platform runs on more
than 50 types of mobile devices and automatically transmits vehicle and operator data
directly to a management dashboard, providing compliance with the upcoming mandate
for electronic logging devices. With XRS,
there are no upfront hardware costs and
no capital requirements. Every XRS package
includes an XRS Relay in-cab device that
communicates via Bluetooth with the driver’s
existing smartphone or tablet. (XRS Corp.,

Collaboration software: TAKE Supply Chain
has released a new version of OneSCM,
a software-as-a-service-based supply chain
collaboration software solution focused on
helping mid-market companies manage their
extended supply chain operations.
The latest version, OneSCM Enterprise 7. 4,
features a new user interface designed to
decrease end-to-end transaction time for
procurement collaboration, accounts payable automation, shipment collaboration, and
demand/forecast collaboration tasks.
The release also features expanded inbound
materials traceability and shipping window
enforcement to increase receiving accuracy
and accelerate invoicing for dynamic discounting. Suppliers can create and submit
multilevel shipments with advance shipment
notices and package tracking numbers within
OneSCM. The shipment is approved or rejected in real time based on established shipping
window tolerances, which can be set to three
levels: accept, warning, and rejected. Preapproved packaging labels are provided for
shipments falling within the accepted and
warning ranges. Rejected shipments prompt
the supplier/shipper to contact the buyer
directly to resolve the issue.
Improvements also include page redesigns that provide faster access to commonly
used transactions and tasks such as reviews,
changes, and submits. (TAKE Supply Chain,

Balemaster® balers
put more green in your pocket.
If you are not baling your waste now, or if you are baling manually, then
you’re spending too much time handling empty cardboard boxes. Balemaster®
balers can do the work for you. Balemaster® wide-mouth auto-ty balers send
money to your bottom line in many ways. Here are just two:
1. Conventional hand tying takes 7 to 10 minutes per bale. But Balemaster®
auto-ty balers process cardboard waste into a dense bale that is
automatically and securely tied in less than 30 seconds.
2. Balemaster® balers produce bales with the highest density per cubic foot.
So there’s more material per volume than any other baler. This reduces
annual baling wire costs and maximizes recycling revenue per load.
Balemaster® balers are engineered to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce
wire usage, and lower maintenance costs. Being green is good business. But
pocketing green is even better.
