Balemaster® balers
put more green in your pocket.
If you are not baling your waste now, or if you are baling manually, then
you’re spending too much time handling empty cardboard boxes. Balemaster®
balers can do the work for you. Balemaster® wide-mouth auto-ty balers send
money to your bottom line in many ways. Here are just two:
1. Conventional hand tying takes 7 to 10 minutes per bale. But Balemaster®
auto-ty balers process cardboard waste into a dense bale that is
automatically and securely tied in less than 30 seconds.
2. Balemaster® balers produce bales with the highest density per cubic foot.
So there’s more material per volume than any other baler. This reduces
annual baling wire costs and maximizes recycling revenue per load.
Balemaster® balers are engineered to save energy, improve efficiency, reduce
wire usage, and lower maintenance costs. Being green is good business. But
pocketing green is even better.
Don’t crunch the numbers any other way.
Dock light: Rite-Hite, a manufacturer of loading dock equipment, industrial doors, safety
barriers, and industrial fans, is introducing a
new light-emitting diode (LED) dock light
called the Rite-Lite Flex Neck LED Dock Light.
The Rite-Lite Flex Neck LED Dock Light has
an aluminum-cast, impact-resistant head
designed to withstand incidental impacts
from forklifts and overhead doors. Its LEDs
consume just 18 watts of energy while out-putting 925 lumens. The light is rated for
175,200 hours of service life.
The light also features an articulating arm
made from molded nylon links. The links offer
multiple bend
points, which can
be easily manipulated to address
unique needs or
obstructions that
may be encountered at a dock
opening. In addition, the links can be tightened to eliminate
the sagging that often occurs with traditional
metal snake arms.
The Rite-Lite Flex Neck LED Dock Light has
four different settings with visual indicators to
clearly identify the current level of lighting.
This feature allows users to select the desired
level of light output. In addition, an optional
auto-dimming feature senses when a forklift
or person exits a trailer and automatically
dims the light to reduce glare. Finally, the light
has a dimming feature that recognizes when
the light has been on for more than 30 minutes with no activity in the trailer, and automatically resets the light to its lowest setting.
All of these features help to reduce power
consumption while offering more lighting
options for loading dock operators. (RiteHite,

China-Europe rail service: Ceva Logistics
has launched a new China-to-Europe railway
service that connects Suzhou in China with
the Netherlands in Europe. The total transit
time for the whole journey is approximately
28 days. The new service will leave daily from
Suzhou and travel north across Russia, to
arrive in the Netherlands.
According to Ceva, the new service offers
significant cost savings compared with air
freight and shorter transit times by 13 to 15
days than ocean freight.
Ceva provides GPS tracking and visibility
throughout the journey. It also offers specially
insulated packaging materials to protect the
products against extreme temperatures. (Ceva

Packing robot: The new High Speed Pick & Pack robot from robotics integrator
QComp Technologies Inc. packs cases in horizontal or vertical package configurations. This fast and flexible system is designed to replace labor-intensive picking and
packing tasks. It can accommodate the newest package designs such as stand-up
pouches, bags, and packs.
According to the company, the robot can handle case packing and tray filling.
The High Speed Pick & Pack system features a robot with integrated vision. The
system is available with a six-axis robot and stainless steel for wash-down applications. (QComp Technologies Inc., www.qcomptech.com)
