Shepherd Color launches new pigment black
The Shepherd Color Company has
introduced new high heat resistant pigment black 10C931. Jet black in color,
10C931, C.I. pigment black 26, is generally used in applications where the
absence of chromium is desired and
resistance to heat, light and weather
are needed, such as barbeque grills
and automotive mufflers/exhausts.
Black 10C931 is a high performance
inorganic mixed metal oxide (MMO)
pigment. Characteristics of these
MMO pigments include extreme durability and high temperature stability.
They are also chemically inert, insoluble and resistant to bleeding and
migration, as well as being lightfast
and weathering well. More info: The
