International Paint Protective
Coatings Centers Now Open

International Paint LLC, an AkzoNobel company, has announced the opening of International Paint branded Protective Coatings Centers in strategic locations across the U.S. and Canada. The launch represents the first phase of what will eventually become a larger network of free-standing Protective Coatings Centers servicing customers in all major markets.

The new customer-direct distribution model is designed to help increase access to International Paint and Devoe Coating’s full-range of high-performance protective coatings, linings, and fire-protection products throughout North America, and provide a more streamlined, customer-centric process for product procurement—all in a single visit.

By leveraging the strengths and syn-
ergies of International Paint and Devoe
High Performance Coatings under one
consolidated location, industrial custom-
ers will have a variety of personalized ser-
vices at their disposal.

Relationship with Ace
Hardware and Acquisition
of Retailer’s Paint
Manufacturing Assets
The Valspar Corporation has announced
a long-term strategic supply relationship
with Ace Hardware Corporation under
which Valspar will manufacture and sup-
ply Ace-branded paint products as well
as make a comprehensive line of Valspar-
branded paints available to more than
4,000 Ace retail locations in the United
States. In addition, the two companies
announced that Valspar has acquired Ace
Hardware’s paint manufacturing assets,
including two manufacturing facilities lo-
cated near Chicago.
