The royal treatment: Crown Equipment has
unveiled the Crown RR 5700 Series of reach
trucks. Engineered for productivity, efficiency, and
safety, the Crown RR 5700 trucks address the
challenges of a narrow-aisle warehouse environment.
Engineered for high lift and travel speeds, the Crown RR 5700
trucks include several enhancements that improve operator confidence and control in performing challenging moves at heights
greater than 36 feet. They feature a traction-control system
designed to prevent the truck from slipping on wet, dusty, or sealed
floors. The control system compares the truck’s speed with the
number of revolutions per minute the drive tire is turning to determine whether the truck has lost traction. By reducing tire spin during acceleration and preventing wheel lock-up during braking, the
system reduces slipping and sliding.
The Crown RR 5700 trucks are offered in reach heights
greater than 36 feet with lift capacities of 4,500 pounds. They
are available with AC-powered drive and hydraulic systems. A
double-deep reach version called the Crown RD 5700 is also available. (Crown

Take it for a spin: Remstar’s MegaStation vertical carousels are designed to recover floor space,
increase productivity, and improve operator
ergonomics in distribution applications. A new
eight-page brochure provides full details on
these systems, which consist of shelves that
rotate up or down via the shortest path, automatically delivering items to an ergonomically
positioned pick window.
The MegaStation vertical carousel can maximize the use of overhead space and recover up
to 75 percent of the floor space typically
required for traditional shelving systems. The
carousel offers more than 16,250 standard available configurations to provide a flexible solution
for most applications.
By eliminating wasted walk and search time,
organizations are able to increase productivity by
two-thirds and reduce overall labor costs. As
product is automatically presented to the operator, the carousel and integrated pick-to-light system immediately identify the items needed and
quantity to pick or store, increasing productivity
and ensuring accuracy. The MegaStation
carousel is compatible with several integrated
pick-to-light hardware and software technologies.
