; Toyota Material Handling, U.S.A.
(TMHU) has announced the retirement of
its chairman and CEO, Shankar Basu.
During his decade-long tenure in that
position, Basu helped lead the company
to the top of the lift truck market. Basu will
be succeeded by Brett Wood, a 20-year
company veteran who has been president of Toyota Material
Handling since 2008. Wood will remain responsible for all
operations at TMHU and will continue to serve on its board.

; Landstar System has chosen Jim Handoush and Pat O’Malley
as co-chief operating officers for the company. Handoush will
have responsibility for Landstar’s newly acquired supply chain
transportation integration companies, Premier Logistics and A3
Integration; Landstar’s warehousing, intermodal, and international service offerings; and for national and international account
development. O’Malley will be responsible for Landstar’s field
organization; agency and capacity development; and all over-the-road operations, including the company’s truckload, LTL, special-ized/heavy haul, and expedited service offerings.
; Kane Is Able Inc. has named Rob Nemeth director of customer solutions. In his new position, Nemeth will develop
new business for the company, which specializes in consumer
packaged goods (CPG) and food logistics. Nemeth, a 30-year
veteran of the logistics industry, most recently served as vice
president of sales for Affiliated Warehouse Companies.
; Swisslog Logistics has promoted A.K.
Schultz to vice president, customer support for
North America. Schultz, who brings extensive
experience in both system design and engineering to his new position, will be responsible
for all customer service operations, including
software support, spare parts, on-site support
teams, and system enhancements. Prior to joining Swisslog in
2004, Schultz worked in the nuclear engineering industry.

; HighJump Software, a developer of supply chain execution
solutions, has named Jim Bork vice president of sales. Bork
most recently served as senior vice president, worldwide sales
at Epicor Software.
