Mind the gap: QC Industries’ new Automation
Series low-profile belt conveyors are now available
with a nosebar tail that improves transfers of small
parts between two conveyors or other types of
machinery. Designed to reduce the gap between
conveyors, the nosebar tail allows small parts to
pass without becoming trapped.
This new option builds on QC Industries’ Tension Release Tail by directly replacing the tail idler pulley. This maintains the push-button ease of use of the Tension
Release Tail, which flips up and relieves tension for belt changes or under-belt cleaning. In most cases, a nosebar tail can be added to an existing conveyor without
removing the belt.
The nosebar tail, which is available for all standard Automation Series conveyor
widths, is compatible with both pushing and pulling applications. (QC Industries,

On schedule: Accellos, a developer of supply chain execution software solutions,
has introduced Accellos One Schedule, a system designed to schedule key
resources like dock doors, fleet assets, drivers, and yard locations. The software
allows the user to maximize utilization of important assets, provides enterprise-wide
visibility into the status and availability of such assets, and minimizes the potential of
penalties from third parties for delays caused by poor scheduling.
The various modules that make up Accellos One Schedule will be released in
phases. The first release will be a module that manages the schedules for a company’s inbound and outbound dock doors. Subsequent releases will broaden the
product’s capabilities to include scheduling of fleet trucks along with the associated
drivers and the ability to schedule and assign staging locations for inbound and outbound tractors and trailers in the yard. (Accellos, www.accellos.com)
Join the fan club: The HV-ES Energy-Saving Fan
from APS Resource creates a continuous stream
of fresh air that increases dock worker comfort
and productivity while consuming less energy
than conventional trailer fans. Unlike traditional
blade fans that create a broader movement of air,
the HV-ES Fan generates a continuous, focused
column of air that forces hot, cold, or musty air
from the trailer and replaces it with fresh air.
The lightweight HV-ES Fan can be precisely
positioned for maximum air flow using the easy-grip handle and dual articulating arm. The compact, low-profile design keeps the fan out of the
way during loading and unloading, while its
durable polyethylene construction withstands
unexpected impacts at busy docks. The HV-ES
Fan includes an extra long power cord with a
three-prong 115V plug and is thermally protected to prevent overheating. (APS Resource,

Web invoicing: Inmar Reverse Logistics has
made enhancements to its Invoice-link online
invoice management tool. The tool now includes
Return Authorization functionality to facilitate
more timely financial reconciliation between
trading partners and move inventory through the
supply chain faster. Results are achieved through
the automation of historically labor-intensive and
error-prone processes.
Vendors who use Invoice-link receive online
notifications and reminders that alert them to
invoices awaiting authorization and can provide
authorization immediately online. They can also
issue product disposition instructions and access
detailed tracking information online. (Inmar

Making a powerful statement: Oorja Protonics,
a developer of ultra-powerful liquid methanol
fuel cell technology, has introduced the Model H
OorjaPac on-board battery charging system.
Designed to reduce the refueling time for material handling vehicles, the Model H can be refueled in less than one minute, according to the
company.
By continuously trickle-charging the on-board
battery, the OorjaPac ensures the battery never
reaches a state of deep discharge. As a result,
the battery is no longer exposed to the risk of
heat damage during recharging—which increases
battery life and reduces battery maintenance
needs. OorjaPac also eliminates the time and
labor costs associated with battery swapping and
reduces the number of batteries required.
The Model H is 25 percent smaller than previous models, enabling it to be retrofitted easily
on a wide range of material handling vehicles,
including fork lifts and pallet loaders. (Oorja
