; Penske Logistics has announced that Marc Althen will succeed Vincent Hartnett as the company’s president upon
Hartnett’s retirement in January 2011. Althen, who will bring
22 years of experience at Penske Truck Leasing to his new
position, has held several key executive leadership roles at the
company, overseeing such areas as administration, procurement, facilities, real estate, vehicle remarketing, vehicle supply,
energy, and environmental services. Hartnett will retire after
more than 38 years of service to the Penske organization.
; Kevin Kelly, president of Solución, has been appointed as
a board member of the North Carolina chapter of the
Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC). Based
in Huntersville, N.C., Solución has provided clients with innovative workforce solutions designed to decrease labor costs
and increase performance standards for more than 10 years.
; Steel King Industries, a manufacturer of material handling
products, has appointed Peter Rice vice president of sales.

; Ryder System has promoted Cristina Gallo-Aquino to vice president and controller. In her
new position, Gallo-Aquino serves as the company’s principal accounting officer with
responsibility for corporate accounting and
planning, as well as internal and external
financial reporting. She has been with Ryder
since 2004.
The company has also announced the hiring
of Keyvan Bohlooli as its new senior vice president and chief information officer. He succeeds
Kevin Bott, who is retiring after 15 years with
Ryder. Bohlooli joins Ryder from NextEra Energy
Resources, where he most recently served as
vice president of information management.
