Plastic pallets: Orbis Corp., a manufacturer of sustainable reusable packaging, has
expanded its Stack’R plastic pallet line. The
new line offers users a range of options, from
a nonrackable stacking pallet to an edge-rack-able pallet that racks up to 3,000 pounds.
Orbis now has three Stack’R options: the
Stack’R LD pallet, the Stack’R MD pallet, and
the Stack’R HD pallet. All three pallet types
measure 40 inches by 48 inches.
The Stack’R LD pallet was designed specifically for stacking applications and is ideal
for stacking up to 3,000 static pounds. The
Stack’R MD pallet was created for edge-rack-ing applications. Manufactured of high-den-sity FDA-approved HDPE plastic, it will rack
up to 2,200 pounds. The Stack’R HD pallet
was designed for racking as well. It is manufactured of FDA-approved polypropylene and
will rack up to 3,000 pounds.
The reusable Stack’R pallets provide an economic and environmentally conscious alternative to single-use pallets. The pallets are
100-percent recyclable and are easy to clean.
The Stack’R pallet family’s smooth non-po-rous design does not absorb moisture or
odor. Nor do users have to worry about nails,
rust, or splinters. The all-plastic construction
ensures dimensional consistency and repeatable performance in automated systems or
high-rise racking.
All three pallets are available with an open
or solid deck. The open flow-through design
creates a hygienic solution for food/agricul-tural applications, while the solid deck creates
an alternative hygienic solution for companies
that do not have access to pallet washers.

Corrugated trim removal system: Henline Adhesive Equipment Co. Inc.’s
(HAECO) TRS- 2 trim removal system removes corrugated trim from boxes to ensure
proper gluing. By removing the trim, the system ensures that the box does not
get hung up in the gluing station, preventing proper application of the glue and
resulting in a bad box.
Designed for mid- to high-volume operations, the system’s DC motor produces
up to 18,000 hits/minute with flexible straps. The TRS- 2 adjusts to accommodate
various sizes of corrugated sheet and removes extra material with replaceable
wear-resistant straps. (Haeco, haeco.us)
