High-volume fan: Loading dock solution
brand Kelley has unveiled the Wave, a new
high-volume low-speed fan.
The Kelley Wave has five blades, which
provides great airflow while reducing energy
consumption, according to the manufacturer.
The Wave has improved controls and features an airfoil shape that results in less drag,
increasing air circulation and, thus, employee
comfort.
The Kelley Wave produces a cylindrical
column of air that flows down to the floor
and outward in all directions, creating a “
horizontal floor jet” that consistently circulates
air in large spaces. The horizontal jet pushes
air a greater distance before it is pulled back
vertically toward the blades.
In the colder months, fans can be run in
reverse to circulate the hot air trapped at ceil-
ing level, known as “destratification.”
According to the manufacturer, the Wave
fans create a more even temperature, which
in turn protects product integrity, reduces
product spoilage, and increases employee
comfort. The even coverage provided by the
Wave fan also works to reduce moisture in
the air, keeping floors drier and safer for

This corded scanner is best for scanning
one-dimensional (1-D) bar codes in the yard,
warehouse, distribution center, manufacturing facility, or outdoor retail store.
The WDI4600 2-D bar-code scanner is a
corded scanner that can read both 1-D and
2-D bar codes. This scanner aims to eliminate data-entry errors in retail, office, and

Heavy-duty safety switches: The ABB Low Voltage Products Division has introduced a new line of heavy-duty safety switches for commercial and industrial
applications. The 600V and 200kA rated switches use the same bodies as ABB’s
rotary-style switches. They are the first heavy-duty switches in the industry to offer
touch-safe visible blades and operating mechanisms that are fully enclosed and
protected from dirt and debris. All enclosure types come with gaskets and are free
of sharp edges.
