Wireless headset: BlueParrott, a manufactur-
er of wireless headset technology, has introduced the C300-XT headset, the first in the
BlueParrott Enterprise line of units engineered
for use in high-noise business environments.
Compact and versatile, the headset enables
users to leave their phone in their pocket and
send push-to-talk commands directly from
the headset with a supported mobile app.
The C300-XT also features VoiceControl for
hands-free operation, allowing teams to talk
safely and unhindered. As with all BlueParrott
models, the C300-XT is customizable with the
Parrott Button, an open software development kit that allows enterprise customers to
enable one-touch access to the features that
are most important to their businesses.
According to the company, the C300-
XT delivers 80-percent noise cancellation,
ensuring teams can efficiently communicate
no matter how noisy the environment. The
headset is IP54 rated for water- and dust-re-sistance, and is engineered for use indoors or
outdoors, in hot temperatures or cold. The
headset offers more than 10 hours of talk
time.
BlueParrott Enterprise products also include
the B550-XT, C400-XT, B450-XT, B350-XT,
and B250-XTS models. All BlueParrott headsets
feature advanced noise cancellation, extended talk time, VoiceControl for hands-free
use, ruggedized design for extreme environments, and a programmable Parrott Button.

Order-fulfillment system: Matthews
Automation Solutions’ “Fulfillment Forward”
integrated order-fulfillment system features
components from the company’s three
warehouse automation brands: Compass
Engineering, Lightning Pick, and Pyramid.
The system combines pick-to-light, put walls,
autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), conveyor controls, and order-finishing automation
with print-and-apply labeling, all managed
by advanced warehouse execution software
(WES).
The AMRs rely on navigation technology
from the portfolio of Guidance Automation,
the British logistics automation specialist
acquired by Matthews in 2017, Sales Manager
Bernie McCabe said at the recent ProMat
show in Chicago. According to Matthews,
users can apply Fulfillment Forward to optimize their order-fulfillment tasks—such as
picking, sortation, packing, and finishing—
to enable rapid-response fulfillment centers
and enhance their e-commerce and omnichannel operations. (Matthews Automation,

Shuttle system: Bastian Solutions, a unit of Toyota Advanced Logistics, has intro-
duced its Shuttle System, an efficient and flexible robotic picker made with parts
built through additive manufacturing (also known as 3-D printing). Forty-five percent of the shuttle system is made by partner company Fast Radius using additive
parts composed of polymers—including the fingers, joints, and elbow in a robotic
picking arm mounted on the vehicle—giving them more dexterity and efficiency
thanks to the lightweight material. The system is set to launch formally later this
year. (Bastian Solutions, www.bastiansolutions.com)
