K-Kat Catalysts
The latest offering from additives
manufacturer King Industries are two
new K-KAT® catalysts; XK-601 a tin-free
catalyst for urethanes without the
environmental drawbacks associated with
tin catalysts and K-KAT XK-604, a mercury-replacement catalyst for cast elastomers
that provides a similar cure profile to
mercury but environmentally more
acceptable with good latency before snap
curing. Technical information will be

Shamrock’s Latest Specialty Additives
Recently developed UltraMatte 76 is a
modified urethane polymer for improved
matting and a smooth, warm feel in all
liquid coatings. Shamrock’s Hydrocer
795, a water dispersion of oxidized
polyethylene, was formulated to improve
ink smearing and roller marking in water
flexo and packaging applications.
