PPG Refinish makes two appointments
PPG Automotive Refinish has
appointed two key marketing managers. Randy Cremeans has been
appointed director of marketing, collision USCA and Mary Kimbro has been
appointed director, global color.
Cremeans will be responsible for
leading the marketing strategies and
initiatives for the North American collision segments. He has more than
seven years experience at PPG and
has held various positions of responsibility including sales business development manger, global platform
manger and manager, collision segments. Prior to PPG, he had 14 years
of sales and marketing positions in the
coatings industry.
In her new position, Kimbro will
focus on global strategies to continue
strengthening the PPG color position.
Kimbro has more than 20 years experience with PPG and has held various
positions of responsibility, including
technical product development chemist,
training, regional sales manager and
director, collision marketing USCA.
INTERNATIONAL PAINT HIRES
MARKETING ANALYST
International Paint has hired David
Hood to serve as marketing analyst for
the company’s Houston, TX-based
Protective Coatings division, North
America. Before joining International
Paint, Hood served in a marketing
internship for Deloitte & Touche in
London, England.
TNEMEC MAKES
TWO APPOINTMENTS
Tnemec Company has named Mark
Thomas vice president of marketing. In
his new position, Thomas will continue
to manage Tnemec’s marketing department and remain actively engaged in
its future success. Thomas has 12 years
of experience at Tnemec and has served
a significant role in developing and
implementing the company’s marketing
strategies.
Tnemec has also appointed Joe Davis
vice president of technical service. Since
joining Tnemec Davis has addressed the
company’s technical service needs with
enhanced training, staff additions, a
state-of-the-art technical facility and a
professionally organized department.
Davis is active in several industry organizations including the Society for
Protective Coatings, the National
Association of Facility Engineers and the
Construction Specifications Institute.
EMPILS APPOINTS NIKITIN
GENERAL MANAGER
Russian paint manufacturer, Empils
has appointed Sergey Nitikin general
manager. Nitikin has held a number of
positions within the company. From
January 2000 until April 2001 Nitikin
served as chief of the procurement
department of ZAO Empils. In April
2001 he was appointed commercial
director of ZAO Empils and since
October 2004 he has served as the first
deputy general manager of Empils
where he was responsible for marketing, sales and procurement.
CRAY VALLEY PROMOTES DEKIOUK
TO MANUFACTURING MANAGER
Cray Valley has promoted Mohammed
Dekiouk to global manufacturing
manager, hydrocarbon resins. In his
new role Dekiouk is responsible for
industrial projects, budgeting and
monitoring productivity at the company’s three manufacturing locations.
Dekiouk will also maintain responsibility as plant manager for Cray
Valley’s Channelview, TX manufacturing site, the position he held prior to
the promotion. He will report to
Charles-Henri Robert, managing
director of the tackifying resins
department. Dekiouk joined Sartomer,
Cray Valley’s sister company in 1993.
He served as technical manager for
Sartomer until he was promoted to
production manager in 1995. In 2004,
he was named special project manger
for the Channelview location and promoted to plant manger in 2007.
UGL APPOINTS JENKINS
TO LAB TEAM
United Gilsonite Laboratories (UGL)
has appointed William Jenkins to its
laboratory team as research and development chemist/formulator. Jenkins
will be responsible for developing new
generation products. He has extensive
experience working in senior leadership
and research and development in the
paint and coatings industry. Jenkins
has held positions such as senior director, director of research and development and product assurance supervisor for Silberline Manufacturing
Company where he managed the
development of new products based on
vacuum metal and oxide deposition.
EASTMAN APPOINTS TWO
VICE PRESIDENTS
Eastman Chemical Company has made
two new appointments in its performance chemicals and intermediates (PCI)
and coatings, adhesives, specialty polymers and inks (CASPI) business segments. Damon Warmack has been
named vice president and general manager, PCI. Brad Lich will assume
Warmack’s position of vice president
and general manager, CASPI.
Warmack joined Eastman in 1980
and worked in a series of sales and
product management positions of
increasing responsibility. During his
career with Eastman, Warmack has
held several international positions,
including vice president and managing
