H.B. Fuller Company is a global manufacturer and marketer of adhesives and other specialty chemical products. The com- pany is managed through four regional operating segments—
North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. The largest
business component in each of the regional segments is adhesives. H.B.
Fuller posted sales of $1.35 billion in 2010.
During the year, H.B. Fuller acquired Revertex Finewaters, a
leading supplier of adhesives in Malaysia. Revertex Finewaters
strengthens the company’s presence in Southeast Asia and adds $18
million in annual revenue. Revertex Finewaters operates a well developed export network throughout Southeast Asia, including
Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore.
H.B. Fuller also closed on a new, $200 million facility that
provides additional flexibility for future growth efforts.
The company also exited its polysulfide-based insulating glass
sealant business in Europe, allowing better focus on the com-
pany’s core growth markets.

Korea Chemical Co., Ltd. was established in 1958 and is now the largest paint producer in South Korea. The company is involved in the production of paints for automobiles, ships,
containers, construction and industrial use. It also manufactures
PVC material for flooring and paint sealant.
Paint for the automotive OEM segment is the largest and
accounted for 33 percent of sales. Decorative coatings accounted for just over eight percent; general industrial four percent; marine coatings 14 percent; powder coatings just over
one percent; pre-coated metal nearly 19 percent; and the remainder of sales is not detailed. The company was formerly
known as Kumkang Korea Chemicals Co., Ltd. and changed
its name to KCC Corporation in March 2005. KCC Corporation is headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.
On the technology front, KCC’s Korepox EH2350 is a ship
paint characterized by salt water and abrasion resistance as well
as anti-corrosiveness. This paint is applied to steel structures such
as tanks, pipes and warehouses that need long-term protection
under extremely corrosive marine conditions.
Korepox EH2350 has been applied to more than 500 ships
since its development in 1993. The product has passed all the
tests required by PSPC (Performance Standard for Protective
Coating) of IMO (International Maritime Organization) and obtained all other necessary certificates from classification societies
in the U.S. (ABS), Britain (LR), Norway (DNV) and Japan (NK).
In 2009 it won a World’s Best Product and Manufacturer award
supervised by the Korea Productivity Department of the Ministry of Knowledge Economy.
