AkzoNobel Selects Byron Grote as Deputy
Chairman of its Supervisory Board
AkzoNobel has selected Byron Grote as Deputy Chairman of its Supervisory Board. Grote, a
former Board Director of BP plc, was
appointed to AkzoNobel’s Supervisory
Board in 2014 and is currently chairman of the Audit Committee. He is
also a non-executive director of Tesco
plc, Anglo-American plc and Standard
Chartered plc.
Orion Engineered Carbons
Names New Marketing
Manager
Jennifer S. Granados, has joined Orion
Engineered Carbons as marketing manager, Coatings, Printing Systems and
Specialty Applications, Americas Region.
She is responsible for addressing customer needs, monitoring market trends
for Specialty Carbon Black applications
in the Americas, and for product pricing.
Before joining Orion, Dr. Granados
served as Technical Service manager for
TPC Group, where she supported customer quality investigations, new applications and product qualifications. In an
earlier role as Global Technical Service
Lleader at Sekisui Specialty Chemicals,
she developed and managed a technical service department and worked with
product development and quality assurance teams to meet customers’ needs.
H.M. Royal Expands Team
to Meet Growing Demand
H.M. Royal, Inc., a chemical distribution and sales development company,
is growing its team to expand customer
support and quality control as product
demand grows.
H.M. Royal hired Alan Livingston
as manager of Quality & Compliance.
Justin Pflug, a scientist with sampling
and analyzing experience, joins the team
as the new Specialty Adhesives Technical
and Application Specialist. Steven Jagels
joins the company as its new Territory
manager, covering Texas and Oklahoma.
Acme Hardesty Appoints
New President
Acme-Hardesty Company, a division of
Jacob Stern & Sons, has appointed Jeff
Kenton as its new pesident. Reporting to
Doug Shreves, chief executive officer of
Jacob Stern and Sons, Inc., Kenton will
have overall responsibility for leading
Acme-Hardesty’s senior leadership team
to achieve sustainable, profitable growth
while strengthening the company’s strategic solutions approach to its key markets
and customers.
LiquiGlide Appoints Greg
Keenan as Head of New
Business Development
LiquiGlide Inc. has appointed Greg
Keenan as the company’s head of new
business development. With more than
two decades of experience commercializing technologies in the chemicals, energy,
agriculture and clean technology industries, Keenan will lead the company’s
go-to-market strategies and commercialization efforts, with a focus on industrial
coating applications.
Before joining LiquiGlide, Keenan
served as the North American director
of biomaterial solutions at Ingredion
Incorporated, a global leader in biomaterial innovation and application
development that acquired Penford
Corporation in 2015. Prior to the acquisition, he was vice president of
new business development for Penford
Products, the industrial market division
of Penford Corporation, where he was
responsible for identifying, developing
and executing new business opportunities in specialty bioproducts markets.
Sherwin-Williams Names
Allen Mistysyn as SVP -
Finance and CFO
The Sherwin-Williams Company has an-
nounced that its Board of Directors has
elected Allen J. Mistysyn to serve as se-
nior vice president – Finance and chief
financial officer. Mistysyn has served as
Sherwin-Williams’ senior vice president
– Corporate Controller since October
2014 and will assume the CFO du-
ties currently held by Sean P. Hennessy.
Hennessy will remain with the company
in the role of senior vice president –
Corporate Planning, Development and
Administration where he will provide
support for the Valspar acquisition in-
tegration planning process and assist
Mistysyn with his new role to ensure a
smooth transition of responsibilities.
Mistysyn has held a variety of operational and corporate finance leadership
positions since joining Sherwin-Williams
in June 1990. Prior to his appointment
as denior vice president – Corporate
Controller, he served as vice president – Corporate Controller from May
2010 to October 2014. He also served
as vice president – Assistant Corporate
Controller from August 2009 to May
2010, vice president – Controller, Paint
and Coatings Division from November
2006 to August 2009, and vice president – Controller, Consumer Division
from February 2003 to November 2006.
Additionally, Mistysyn served in various roles in our Paint Stores Group and
Product Finishes Division.
Sherwin-Williams also announced
that the Board elected Jane M. Cronin
as senior vice president – Corporate
Controller. Mistysyn will serve in the role
of senior vice president – Finance until assuming the role of senior vice president
– Finance and CFO on January 1, 2017.
Cronin has been employed with Sherwin-Williams since September 1989. She has
served as vice president – Corporate
Audit and Loss Prevention since
September 2013. She served as vice president – Controller, Diversified Brands
Division, Consumer Group from July
2005 to September 2013, prior to which
she served as director of Accounting,
Consumer Group from August 2003 to
