PolyOne Appoints James
N. Sloan, Vice President,
Treasurer
PolyOne Corporation announced that
James N. Sloan has been appointed
vice president, treasurer. Sloan will
now be responsible for all aspects of
the company’s capital structure, cash
management, insurance and capital
markets transactions, as well as leading the internal Financial Planning and
Analysis function. He replaces Scott
J. Leffler, who has accepted a chief financial officer position with another
company.
Since joining PolyOne in 2009,
Sloan has contributed to the company’s success and transformation while
serving as assistant corporate controller, finance director for PolyOne
Distribution, and most recently as
finance director for the Designed
Structures and Solutions business unit.
IGM Resins Names New
Global Photoinitiator
Business Manager
IGM Resins has announced that Jeroen
Diepgrond has joined IGM Resins as
Global PI Business manager. Diepgrond
reports to IGM Resins’ vice president
photoinitiators, Andrew Chambers. He
will manage the Photoinitiator busi-
ness in line with IGM’s strategies for
innovation and growth, and will work
on product development with its R&D
and technical teams to meet the needs
of the market. He has more than 20
years of industry experience and came
to IGM from BASF, where he served
since 2013 as senior marketing/product
management manager for the European
printing and packaging industry. He
previously held various commercial
roles at ICI and Westmin Talc.
Wacker Polymers is Under
New Leadership
Peter Summo is taking over as president of Wacker Polymers. Summo is
succeeding Arno von der Eltz, who
is retiring. He previously headed the
Engineering Silicones business unit at
Wacker Silicones.
Summo previously worked at
AkzoNobel in product marketing, before
joining Wacker in 1995. After positions as
a sales manager in England and executive
board advisor at Corporate Development
in Munich, he transferred to the Wacker
Polymers division.
In 2005, he took over as head of the
Construction Polymers business unit and
was responsible for the Dispersions &
Resins business unit as of 2011. Since
2013, Summo has headed the Engineering
Silicones business unit at the Wacker
Silicones division.

Technical Sales Team in
Ireland
HMG Paints has appointed Paul
McGuinness sales and technical manager. With 10 years technical experience in the coatings industry at PPG,
McGuinness will be tasked with supporting HMG’s existing Irish distributor network and customer base while
exploring new market opportunities in
various sectors.
HMG has a varied portfolio of
high quality products for a variety of
industries. The Manchester based com-
pany has a long history in the Irish
marketplace supplying coatings direct
and working with long term distribu-
tors partners.
Huckaby Joins Sprayroq
Inc. as Director of Business
Development
Sprayroq Inc. has added Jeremy Huckaby
to its team, as the new director of business
development. The developer and manufacturer of fast-curing structural and
chemical-resistant polyurethanes for the
rehabilitation and protection of underground infrastructure brought Huckaby
on board to address the needs of a maturing trenchless technologies market,
and to help supply an expanding list of
applications for the company’s products.
Vogel Paint Announces
New Senior Management
Members
Vogel Paint, Inc. has made two new senior
management positions appointments.
Jeffrey Powell
has joined the organization’s senior
management team
as executive vice
president. He will
report directly to
Drew Vogel, president and CEO, and
will join in the direction and leadership of the company’s operations.
Powell previously served as president
of the Jones-Blair Paint Company of
Dallas, Texas and more recently as
group vice-president, North America
for the Hempel Coatings Company.
In addition, Meika Vogel has been
named vice president, general counsel
for the company. Vogel joined Vogel
Paint in 2009 and has served on the
company’s management team since
