cades, we have provided innovative,
beautiful, and durable coatings to our
customers in Argentina. Our new facility
will allow us to meet their emerging re-
quirements quickly and utilize important
local content.”
Locally sourced raw materials will
comprise, on average, 80 percent of
the materials that will be used to pro-
duce basecoats, clear coats, and thinners
for domestic markets and for export.
Initially, the plant will have a production
capacity of more than eight million liters
per year, with the ability to grow in response to demand.

plied in the construction, and that will
be used to operate this facility, reflect
the capabilities of Axalta,” highlighted
Marcelo Cicchini, President of Axalta
in Argentina. “We will leverage these
strengths to continue expanding our
operations, focusing on the evolution of
our products and services, while deliver-
ing the highest quality service and sup-
port to our customers.”
Axalta’s customers in Argentina in-
clude leading manufacturers of cars, light
trucks and commercial vehicles, as well
as industrial customers whose products
range from oil and gas pipelines to archi-
tectural fittings and facades, and vehicle
repair body shops. Axalta’s brands sold in
the market include Standox, Cromax and
Duxone refinish products and Alesta and
Nap-Gard powder products.
British Coatings Federation
Wins Trade Association of
the Year 2017
The British Coatings Federation (BCF)
beat over 300 other trade associations in
the UK to be crowned ‘Trade Association
of the Year 2017,’ the highest accolade for
Trade Associations in the UK. This award
recognizes the continued development of
the Federation, which is now recognized
as best in class amongst trade associa-
tions across the UK. The BCF also won
‘Marketing Campaign of the Year’ for the
‘DIY Safe Antifouling Initiative. and were
highly-commended in the ‘Magazine of
the Year’ category, for the coatings indus-
try magazine ‘Covered.’
