Delivers Special Keynote
Address at Greenbuild 2017
Conference

Former President Bill Clinton will give a special keynote address from 6-7 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center during the 2017 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo, U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Informa Exhibitions recently announced.

and advocate of the green building move-
ment and our community continues to be
encouraged and inspired by his years of
philanthropic work to help those less for-
tunate and create resilient communities,”
said Mahesh Ramanujam, president &
CEO, USGBC. “We know that his mes-
sage of inclusion and environmental re-
sponsibility will challenge us to not only
be better environmental stewards, but to
be better citizens of the world.”

USGBC previously announced that Project Haiti, its LEED-registered orphanage and children’s facility currently being constructed in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, will be officially named the William Jefferson Clinton Children’s Center. The facility is aiming for LEED Platinum and has been named in honor of Clinton in recognition of the Clinton Global Initiative’s (CGI) longstanding work to engage and empower the global community to find innovative solutions to the world’s most pervasive problems.

AkzoNobel Expands
Distribution of Polibrid
Coatings to Canada

Following an expanded worldwide agreement to distribute Polibrid coatings in 2016, AkzoNobel has now extended the distribution agreement to include Canada.

This will enable access to Polibrid prod-
ucts throughout North America as part
of the company’s International
brand portfolio of protective
coatings and linings.

The Polibrid range offers high-build low odor, zero VOC, two-component elastomeric polyurethane lining options designed to protect concrete and steel in severe immersion environments. Fast cure, easy application and flexible crack-resistant properties make Polibrid ideal for use in corrosive wastewater treatment, potable water, and other immersion applications such as penstocks, dam gates, manholes, and pipelines, where exposure to H2S and mi-crobiologically-induced corrosion (MIC) is prevalent.
