Battery management program: EnerSys has introduced the
Xinx Battery Operations Management Program, a cloud-based
optimization program for motive-power batteries. The program
consists of six main components: a data-collection system, a daily
exception report, an analyst’s services, monthly efficiency-optimi-zation plans, access to a 24/7 efficiency management portal, and
budget-forecasting support.
An EnerSys expert analyst provides monthly optimization
plans to customers via a 24/7 portal. In developing the plan, the
analyst examines problems and their root causes, and warns the
user what to expect if issues are left unaddressed. This information forms the basis for the recommended corrective actions.

Charger system: AeroVironment has introduced the Advanced
Connect RX system for its PosiCharge ProCore chargers. Forklift
battery charge cables can suffer wear and tear while the lift truck
is in use and from being plugged and unplugged repeatedly.
Waiting for scheduled maintenance can be risky; if they are not
properly maintained, cables can suffer damage and even melt,
which is a safety hazard.
To prevent costly damage to trucks or hazards to operators,
Connect RX monitors cable connectors during charging sessions,
shutting down the charge session and alerting the user if abnor-malities are detected. Advanced Connect RX is now a standard

Battery charger: Ametek
Prestolite Power, a supplier of
industrial battery chargers and
fleet management solutions,
has introduced an improved
version of its Wireless Battery
Identification Device (WBID)
that allows operators to monitor battery and charger use for an entire fleet. Data is transmitted
wirelessly with ZigBee radio or over DC cables to a single data
point where the data is available to download from multiple units
simultaneously.
The data from the WBID can then be analyzed and put into a
report format using Ametek Prestolite Power’s DataLink3 software. Users are able to review data and customize reports in
either a graph or spreadsheet format with the option to toggle

Navigation software for robots: Warehouse robotics company Locus Robotics has introduced an advancement in its
autonomous robotics navigation software to enable multi-robot
warehouse fulfillment for retailers and third-party logistics service

software streamlines the process of having multiple robots operate in a coordinated fashion in a warehouse environment, the
