Pallet rack safety products: Adrian’s Safety Solutions has
introduced a new line of pallet rack safety products designed to
ensure warehouse compliance with fire protection standards in
the U.S.
According to the National Fire Protection Association, the longitudinal flue space, which is the vertical area between storage
racks, must remain clear at all times. This allows heat from a fire
to vent upward and ceiling fire sprinklers to work effectively.
The company’s Rack Safety Strap and Rack Safety Nets, which
mount to the back of the storage rack, can help prevent pallet
push-through into the flue space. (Adrian’s Safety Solutions,

Transportation software: Transport Pro, a developer of cloud-based transportation management software, has partnered with
Apex Capital Corp. to provide a solution designed to save trucking companies hours of work each day. Transport Pro subscribers
who use Apex Capital as their factoring company can send a predesigned, polished cover sheet along with necessary paperwork
directly to Apex in one simple step.
This feature ensures that Apex receives all of the information
needed in the required format, so trucking companies can receive
their payments in a timely manner.
As the invoices are selected and prepared for transfer,
Transport Pro auto-calculates the total amount. Then, with one
click, the system sends the invoices, proof-of-delivery documents,
and a cover sheet to Apex, and places a digital signature on the
cover sheet. (Transport Pro, www.transportpro.net)
Industrial fan trade-up program: MacroAir is known for its
large industrial fans that provide a comfortable working environment for warehouse employees. The company recently introduced a trade-up program that allows users of any large fans to
move up to the latest MacroAir technology. According to the
company, there are more than 100,000 fans installed in the market today, many of which rely on inefficient gear boxes instead
of today’s direct-drive technologies.
MacroAir will also do a free analysis to determine optimal air
flow for a facility. (MacroAir, www.macroairfans.com)
Automatic bagger: PAC Machinery has introduced its Rollbag
R1285 Velocity automatic bagger featuring next-bag-out print
technology.
Marketed under PAC Machinery’s Clamco brand, the Rollbag
R1285 Velocity automatic bagger integrates an automatic bagger
platform with direct-to-bag printer and variable data software.
The printer can apply almost any data the user chooses—
including a unique delivery address, bar code, product info, and return
address—directly on the bag, thus eliminating the need for a
paper label and the time and effort required to print and apply
the label. As a result, the possibility of placing the wrong label on
a poly mailer is virtually eliminated.
The software/integrated printer system has the capacity to
store up to 20 job configurations and has the potential to reduce
labor costs significantly in operations that use poly mailers. The
system is engineered to work with Rollbag brand pre-opened
bags on a roll. (PAC Machinery, www.pacmachinery.com)
