Mobile workstation: Creform Corp. has
designed and built a mobile workstation for
a Southeast U.S. manufacturer of powered
window treatments.
The workstation has a plastic work surface
across the front, which creates a smooth and
clean area for parts assembly. Above and
behind the work surface are angled shelves
for component storage and pre-
sentation that allow for first-in/
first-out (FIFO) parts handling.
Above the work surface is a
four-foot fluorescent light as well
as a tool balancer that rolls freely
from side to side. The tool balanc-
er counterbalances the weight of
the tools, keeps them readily at
hand, and reduces associate fatigue.
Below the work surface and centered within
the mobile workstation is a pullout drawer to
hold those parts and tools that are infrequently used. On the right side below the work
surface is an empty container return so the
workstation can be serviced from the rear. The
empty container return features a skatewheel
conveyor for consistent container flow. Built
into the back is a power strip to distribute
electricity to the workstation.
The workstation shown has overall dimensions of 70 inches wide by 83 inches high by
48 inches deep. It has a load capacity of 600
pounds. Structure-to-structure connectors are
included so that multiple workstations can
be joined to create a linear, L-shaped, or
U-shaped work cell. (Creform Corp., www.

Updated freight payment software:
Businesses looking to minimize parcel shipping expenses after the latest carrier rate
increases can use National Traffic Service’s
new TrafficPro freight auditing and payment
software to keep a lid on costs.
National Traffic Service has refined
TrafficPro, its audit software, for UPS and
FedEx auditing as volume and rate complexity
for this sector continue to increase. According
to the company, TrafficPro gives companies
that want to perform their parcel audit and
payment function in-house but don’t have
the resources, a way to reap the benefits of
auditing their UPS and FedEx invoices without
outsourcing the task.
TrafficPro automatically checks the account
number liability, on-time delivery, billing accuracy, and manifest match during a parcel
invoice audit. The software also automates
the audit and payment of inbound and outbound truckload, LTL, and airfreight bills.

Strobe light: TVH in the Americas (TVH) has added an LED version to its ML7 series of strobe lights. This strobe comes in the
same five color options as the original ML7: amber, blue, clear,
green, and red.
There are three LED lights in the ML7 LED line with a voltage
range of 12 to 80VDC. The lens and mounting base of this strobe are made of
polycarbonate material. The ML7 LED is a permanent-mount strobe and comes with
a two-year warranty. (TVH, www.irmn.com)
