Paul Tay has joined Ryder System as vice president and managing director for the Asia Pacific region. Tay comes to the warehousing and transportation management company from APL Logistics, where he was vice president of consolidation. He brings to his new job more than 15 years of experience in both contract and international supply chain management.

The International Foodservice Distributors Association (IFDA) has elected four industry leaders to its board of directors. They are Bill Mathis of Glazier Foods Co. (Houston, Texas); Andrew Mercier of Merchants Foodservice (Hattiesburg, Miss.); Mac Pearce of Performance Food Group (Richmond, Va.); and Larry Perkins of Perkins (Taunton, Mass.).

EnVista has hired Al Gagnon to lead the company’s labor management and lean logistics practices. Gagnon, who has extensive experience in supply chain and labor management, formerly was president of Gagnon & Associates, which introduced the industry’s first commercial labor management software application. He has also served in executive positions at Manhattan Associates and RedPrairie.

Meredith Neizer is the new president of Alliant Logistics, a division of U.S. Foodservice. She joins the company after seven years with the Martin-Brower Co., where she most recently served as president of MBX Logistics. She has also worked for Maersk Sealand, Exxon International, and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.

M33 Integrated Solutions, a logistics solutions provider, has Sunteck Transport Corp., a non-asset–based provider of trans-added two managers to its sales force. Mike Cutone is the new portation services, has hired Linda Clark as director of recruiting business development manager for the Atlanta metro area, and and development. She brings to her new job more than 32 years Thomas Kirschner is the new business development manager of experience in the transportation industry. Clark has spent the for the Raleigh/Durham market.
