Load Transfer Station with Pallet Cart: Columbia Machine has expanded its
Load Transfer Station (LTS) product line to include a Load Transfer Station with
Pallet Cart (LTS-C). Forklift truck drivers can place the “go to” pallet onto a pallet
cart, and the LTS-C completes the transfer automatically.
The LTS-C is capable of transferring products that are packaged in cases, barrels, drums, bags, and pails from one type of pallet—for example, plastic, CHEP,
or GMA—to another. (Columbia Machine, www.loadtransfer.net)
36BR plastic container: A new lightweight 4.25-gal-
lon rectangular plastic container is now available from
Plastican Inc. Designated the 36BR, the container is
designed to provide better cube efficiency and volume packaging of goods for the food, consumer, and
do-it-yourself markets.
Suitable for liquids as well as moist, dry, and
frozen goods, this rigid, yet lightweight container
tolerates a wide range of temperatures. In addition,
it provides 20 percent better cube efficiency than a
round pail of the same capacity, according to the
company.
The container is produced using high-density
polyethylene (HDPE) or propylene and scores high
on environmental sustainability scorecards.
Customers can choose hinged lids, which are easily
resealed and feature a tamper-evident tear strip. Bi-directional handles make the
container easier to pick up and move. (Plastican Inc., www.plastican.com)

Choose from hydraulic, pneumatic or manually actuated units in either stationary or portable configurations. With capacities from 500 to 8,000 lbs and a wide variety of options including tilt tops and turntables there’s a Presto Lift Table for every application. Lifting and Positioning Heavy Loads It’s Done!
Load Seeking Clamp 4.0: Film breaks are a
major frustration for most stretch wrapper
operators, resulting in downtime and lost productivity. Approximately 30 percent of all film
breaks occur at the clamp, which requires the
operator to reset the machine. When a typical
load passes into the wrap zone, it could be several inches to a foot away from the clamp, preventing clamp-to-load contact. Many clamps
are stationary clamps and do not move out to
the edge of the load. This causes the film to
sag in the gap between the clamp and the
load, reducing containment at the bottom of
the load.
Lantech’s SL automatic stretch wrappers
now feature the Load Seeking Clamp 4.0,
which reduces such film breaks by holding
onto the film. At the beginning of the wrap
cycle, the device goes out to the edge of the
load, creating clamp-to-load contact regardless
of the width of the load. This eliminates sagging and maximizes containment at the bottom of the load.
The Load Seeking Clamp 4.0 is standard on
the SL automatic stretch wrapper. It is also
available as a retrofit on S Series automatics.

IR Series lift tables: Pentalift Equipment Corp.
now offers the IR Series of hydraulic lift tables.
These lift tables are designed for applications in
the 1,000- to 2,000-pound load range. All models feature a 7-inch low height and provide a
vertical travel of 36 inches. Platform sizes range
from 24 by 48 inches up to 48 by 72 inches.
The lift tables feature a self-contained
hydraulic power unit and a reservoir that is
filled with oil. They also have pre-wired NEMA
12 motor controls and a pre-wired NEMA 4-
push button on 10 feet of straight cord from
the power unit. Straight toe guards are suitable
for surface mounting.
Options on the hydraulic lift tables include
rotating tops, non-standard platform sizes, a
semi-portable design, accordion bellows, a
hydraulic velocity fuse, a hinged integral maintenance stand, guarded foot pedal controls, an
up-travel limit switch, and power units of up to
3 hp to increase lift speeds. (Pentalift
