TallyGenicom 6600 series printers: Printronix has introduced
the 6600 series of TallyGenicom industrial printers, a family of line
matrix printers suitable for manufacturing, warehousing, shipping, and distribution center applications. The new line includes
the 6600Q Cabinet, 6600 Open Pedestal, 6600 Quiet Pedestal,
and 6600Z Zero Tear models.
Printronix says the new printers are durable and deliver superior print quality. The units include timesaving features such as the
PrintNet Suite of tools to help supply chain professionals manage
their worldwide print operations remotely and the WebPanel
device for single printer management needs. Users also have a
choice of speeds, including 500, 1,000, 1,500, and 2,000 lines
per minute. Flexible configurations enable customers to tailor
each 6600 model to their individual requirements.
The 6600 series supports a variety of sustainability initiatives.
The units are Energy Star-qualified, providing operational energy
savings compared to laser printers. The printers produce none of
the fine particulate emissions found in laser toner cartridges.
All models in the 6600 series are fully compatible direct
replacements for earlier TallyGenicom printers. (Printronix,

Jungheinrich EJC B14/EJC B16 walkie stackers:
Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MCFA)
has added two Jungheinrich-brand electric walkie
straddle stackers to its North American product line.
The new heavy-duty walkie stackers, models EJC
B14 and EJC B16, feature a highly efficient three-phase AC technology drive system, proportional lift
and lower control, optional electric power steering, and a multifunction control tiller head.
The new walkie stackers were designed
for energy-efficient operation and reduced life-cycle costs. Improvements to their advanced drive system include
proprietary software, enhanced electrical components, and optimized cable routing, which result in longer battery life and run
time. Other advantages include the elimination of wear items,
such as motor brushes and springs, which can reduce life-cycle
costs. The stackers also feature advanced regenerative braking,
which allows energy to be fed back into the battery for longer run
times and enhanced productivity.
The new walkie stackers provide quiet performance and premier handling, according to the company. Their precise speed and
torque control allow for easy maneuvering even in confined warehouse spaces. The units feature a variable lift/lower speed control,
which reduces not only the pull-down and put-away costs but
also the likelihood of lift truck, rack, or product damage.
All forklift truck movement functions are accomplished via the
tiller head. The tiller head is mounted low and toward the side of
the truck. This maximizes the space between the operator and
the chassis for increased comfort and visibility. The controls may
be activated with either hand.
The EJC B14 and EJC B16 walkie stackers also feature dual
articulating load wheel design, a crawl speed button that allows
travel with the handle in the upright position, and a smart auto
reversing switch. Optional features include adjustable base-leg
widths, a cold store package for refrigeration and freezer applications, and electric power steering. (Jungheinrich,
