Automated lift truck: The
Raymond Corp., in collaboration
with Seegrid Corp., has introduced
the Raymond Courier 3020 tow
tractor automated lift truck. The
new truck is designed to automate
horizontal towing in a number of
operations, including the transfer
of parts to production lines and finished goods to warehouse facilities.
Capable of towing up to 10,000
pounds, the Raymond Courier 3020
combines Seegrid’s expertise in
automation with Raymond’s end-to-end warehouse solutions
and lift truck proficiency for a combined answer to the industry
need for automating repetitive and time-consuming hauls that
are labor-intensive.
The Raymond Courier 3020 features the Raymond ACR
System, which delivers longer battery life with precise speed
control, less downtime, and reduced cost of ownership. With the
addition of the iWarehouse fleet management system, customers gain even greater visibility into their automated and manual
mixed fleets. Time in automated mode (man-off) versus manual
mode (man-on) is measured and reported through iWarehouse
and can be compared with entirely manual vehicles to ensure
optimal usage of each type of vehicle.
iWarehouse, in conjunction with Seegrid’s Supervisor software, provides robust tracking and reporting of mixed-tech-nology fleets, optimizing uptime by reporting unit status of
the combined fleet. Seegrid’s Supervisor software provides an
intuitive yet robust business rule framework for easily integrating
automation into existing operational systems.
Raymond automated lift trucks are sold, supported, and
serviced by The Raymond Corp. and its entire network of more
than 100 authorized sales and service centers. (Raymond Corp.,

Smart-camera system: Cognex Corp. has
introduced the In-Sight VC200 series, a
family of multi smart-camera vision systems.
The In-Sight VC200 series brings the proven
performance and reliability of In-Sight vision
systems to multicamera vision applications.
Traditional multicamera systems use
“dumb” cameras that share the same processor, resulting in slower performance as
more cameras are added. The In-Sight VC200 overcomes these
restrictions because the processing power actually increases with
each additional camera. This improved performance helps keep
pace with fast-moving production lines and also provides the
flexibility to solve applications with sequential or asynchronous
inspections.
The In-Sight VC200 includes a fully customizable, Web-enabled
HMI, providing monitoring and control through password-pro-tected access levels. With the In-Sight VC200, operators can now
view inspections, controls engineers can modify parameters, and
plant managers can review performance statistics simultaneously
from any iOS-, Android-, or Windows-based device with a Web
browser. (Cognex Corp., www.cognex.com/VC200)
Freight rate calculator: Online price-quote platform Freightos
Ltd. has launched a freight rate calculator that gives retailers,
exporters, distributors, and wholesalers better visibility of shipping rates in a market with increasing use of spot quotes and
rising rate volatility.
The free tool improves transparency by offering real-time
full-containerload, less-than-containerload, air, and truck door-to-door freight estimates generated from live market rates.
Freightos developed the rate calculator to tap into live market
data, aggregated across multiple forwarders. The calculator uses
routing and pricing algorithms to calculate fees and surcharges for truck, air, and ocean shipping, calculating anticipated
ranges for shipping along different lanes by a variety of modes.
Freightos also offers an alternative version that provides freight
shipping estimates directly to Amazon warehouses participating
in the Fulfillment by Amazon program. (Freightos Ltd., www.

Reach truck: Yale Materials Handling Corp.’s new Yale MR14-25
moving-mast reach truck series features seven models and five
chassis options that can be tailored to meet the demands of most
indoor applications.
The heavy-duty mast creates a high level of stability and
enables faster put-away and retrieval times with mast lifting
heights of up to 502 inches and mast speeds of up to 143 feet
per minute. The truck offers a maximum travel speed of 8. 7 mph,
allowing operators to cut travel times. (Yale Materials Handling
