Less-than-container load service:
Nonvessel-operating common carrier and ocean freight

Enterprise-level software: QubeVu, a creator
of parcel and pallet dimensioning systems, has
introduced a suite of enterprise-level software
solutions designed to make dimensioning a
value-added operation. According to the company, QubeVu Matrix simplifies data collection
and management, optimizes performance, and
provides insight into efficiency and revenue
opportunities.
Matrix automatically stores every piece of
data about every item in the parcel stream and
facilitates remote monitoring, configuration,
and updating of every QubeVu in the system,
from anywhere in the world. The Matrix dashboard provides real-time data and insights, and
allows operators to drill down for more detail—
from the condition of an individual parcel to
comparative system performance over time,
by line, by facility, or by employee. (QubeVu,

Shock and vibration monitoring: SpotSee,
a developer of shock and vibration monitoring
systems, has expanded its ShockLog product
line to include the ShockLog Satellite, known
previously as ShockTrak, adding satellite connectivity to a lineup that already includes cellular and USB connectivity.
The ShockLog product line uses the ShockLog
298, which measures impact, temperature,
humidity, tilt, roll, and pressure. With the
addition of either cellular or satellite connectivity modules, parameters can be viewed in
real time from the SpotSee Cloud, all from a
user’s smartphone or computer. According to
SpotSee, ShockLogs are used in the power,
energy, industrial, and medical industries to
ensure supply chain transparency and responsibility. (SpotSee, www.spotsee.io/impact)
Packaging solution: Logistics software and
supply chain solutions company ProShip Inc.
has introduced a leasing option for its CVP
Automated Packaging Solution in addition to
the traditional capital purchase option.
The CVP Automated Packaging Solution is an
in-line auto-boxer that measures, constructs,
tapes, weighs, and labels each parcel in one seamless process. The system creates
a custom-fit parcel every seven seconds using only one operator and can be integrated into existing order fulfillment processes. According to ProShip, this boxing
technology creates highly effective packaging, alleviates key shipping challenges,
and optimizes all steps of parcel fulfillment, while saving on labor, shipping, and
material costs for a variety of industries, including e-commerce, retail, third-party
logistics, wholesale, and manufacturing. (ProShip Inc., www.proshipinc.com)
Conveyor for sanitary applications: Dorner has redesigned its AquaGard 7350
V2 series conveyor to enhance safety and performance.
The AquaGard 7350 V2 is
built for sanitary applications
within the baking, snack food,
pharmaceutical, pet food,
packaging, and other industries that require occasional
wipe-down cleanings of the
conveyor. The new conveyor comes in straight belt and
modular belt straight and
curve models.
The modular belt conveyor system is designed to maximize available plant space
by keeping the footprint as compact as possible. Infeed and outfeed sections are
a compact 18 inches.
The conveyor comes with an improved tail design for drive support. The addition of a tip-up tail on the modular belt (straight) gives greater access inside the
conveyor for cleaning. (Dorner, www.dornerconveyors.com)
