Introducing LegaC2 ™modular chargers from Douglas Battery™
Risk management solution: EBE
Technologies has released a new version of its
Ships Risk Management Solution. The system
features a new workflow functionality in areas
such as accident-scene management, cargo
claims, injuries, and litigation management to
provide a more streamlined and transparent
approach to managing these processes.
Through a single interface, carriers are able
to optimize functionality for cargo claims,
including brokerage notification, deductible
calculation, and the ability to track the progress of a cargo claim from initial filing to claim
completion. The system also allows for the
immediate upload of accident-scene photos,
driver statements, and police reports, as well
as alerts that trigger workflows to ensure this
documentation is present.
The enhanced document control functionality assures that accident-scene images and
documentation are optimized—even when
mobile devices are used to capture that documentation. Other capabilities include direct
distribution of documentation to third parties
such as insurance companies and the ability
to track the status of an insurance claim.
Enhancements regarding litigation activities
greatly expedite the claims process, as the system provides visibility to the litigation process
from start to finish, including whether the
case is active and whether or not legal counsel has been engaged. In addition, it provides
carriers with the opportunity to automatically
update the driver scorecard of the driver
involved in the claim. (EBE Technologies,

grid design offers performance and extended
durability.
Other features include up to 10 percent
more active material and higher paste density
to stand up to demanding operating conditions, charging on state-of-the-art Inbatec
equipment to protect plate integrity, an
improved plate-curing process for stronger
paste cohesion, increased antimony alloy level
for extended cycle life, and optimized acid
gravity for lower corrosion and a longer life.

Utility vehicles: Absolute E-Z Up has partnered with Zallys, an Italy-based manu-
facturer of personnel carriers, electric vehicles, and material handling equipment
used for towing and carrying loads, to introduce a new line of Zallys electrical utility
vehicles to the U.S. market.
The company’s new tow line features electric vehicles that can push, pull, or steer
wheeled loads weighing up to 33,069 pounds, while the electric wheelbarrows and
loading equipment can move materials weighing up to 4,409 pounds. All of the
vehicles were designed to increase productivity while putting less strain on employees, the company says. (Absolute E-Z Up, www.absoluteezup.com)
