LED backup lamp: Optronics International, a manufacturer and
supplier of heavy-duty LED vehicle lighting devices, has introduced its new Fusion Thinline surface-mount LED combination
stop, tail, turn, and backup lamp. The new lamp is the first to
combine stop, tail, turn, and backup functions in a common bar
light format, the company says.
Optronics’ Fusion lamps are available in four-inch round and
six-inch oval formats with grommet- and flange-mount versions
that fit any standard lighting application. Optronics also makes a
Fusion combination lamp with its popular GloLight technology.
At 20. 5 inches long, one inch wide, and just three-quarters of
an inch thick, Fusion Thinline surface-mount LED combination
lamps can be mounted anywhere on a vehicle, including vehicle body panels, frame posts, docking plates, and gussets. The
low-profile surface-mount design hugs the vehicle surface and
lets users avoid cutting large mounting holes that can reduce
structural integrity and promote corrosion.
Mounting the Fusion Thinline surface-mount LED combination
lamp is easy, and wiring requires only one half-inch hole and two
small mounting holes for either rivets or screws. Damaged lamps
are easy to rewire and replace.
Optronics’ combination LED lamp helps distributors, OEMs,
and fleets reduce SKUs and carrying costs by removing the
requirement of a separate backup lamp. Fusion Thinline surface-mount LED combination stop, tail, turn, and backup lamps
provide visibility and longevity.
The new Fusion LED lamps meet all FMVSS 108 photometric
requirements for visibility and safety, according to the manufacturer. Lenses and housings are made of tough polycarbonate
material that is sonically welded. The lamps employ a solid-state surface-mount device (SMD) design that protects their
electronics against moisture, shock, and vibration. Like all LED
products from Optronics, the Fusion lamps come with no-hassle,
one-diode lifetime warranty protection under which the manufacturer will replace the lamp if even one diode fails. (Optronics

Supply chain intelligence solution: Third-party logistics service
provider Damco has launched its new supply chain intelligence
solution, a digital platform that provides customers with a suite
of interactive dashboards delivering up-to-the-minute information on their supply chains. The platform is based on a scalable
enterprise solution that is fully integrated into Damco’s operational systems to provide actionable data-based insights.
Data is a key resource in the effective management of a supply
chain, from the support that the data provides for forecasting
and planning, all the way through to the tracking of deliveries
to the end consumer. But leveraging data to provide actionable
insights for both tactical and strategic decision-making has
always been a significant industry challenge.
Damco’s supply chain intelligence solution addresses this challenge by delivering high-level performance indicators that allow
customers to gain more detailed insights into their supply chain
based on shipping profiles, carrier performance, equipment utilization, and supplier-performance dashboards. The new platform
gives customers the power to drive supply chain performance
through unrivaled real-time data visualization and intelligent
data analytics, the company says. (Damco, www.damco.com/

Location tracker: SecuraTrac has
introduced its next-generation mobile
personal emergency response pendant, the MobileDefender Model S
(MD-S).
Companies that dispatch employees
into unknown environments and situations can rely on the MD-S to relay
information about employee locations,
while providing them with an instant
connection to help if an emergency
occurs.
In addition to state-of-the-art location technologies, the MD-S
offers a built-in “fall advisory” capability. The MD-S can detect
horizontal and vertical movement so if an employee falls on the
job or is knocked over, he or she does not have to initiate a call
for help. The MD-S will trigger one automatically. Leveraging
existing SecuraTrac cloud-based location technology, the new
MD-S adds the ability for central stations to respond to potential
accidents.
To improve battery lifespan, the MD-S was designed with a
new Wake-on SOS feature. Wake-on SOS gives this small mobile
PERS (personal emergency response system) device the ability
to last over 30 days on a single charge because the device is
off until the SOS button is activated. This preserves the battery
while enabling the device to turn on, determine and transmit its
location, and make the emergency phone call after the SOS is
activated. (Secura Trac, www.securatrac.com)
