Narrow-aisle lift truck: Hyundai
Forklift has introduced the BCS- 9 series
of stand-up counterbalanced battery
lift trucks for narrow-aisle operation
in distribution and manufacturing
environments. The three new mod-
els—15BCS- 9, 18BCS- 9, and 20BCS-

9—are available in 3,000-, 3,500-, and 4,000-pound capacities.

BCS- 9 forklifts feature a compact design and dual drive motors with 100-percent AC technology. The AC motors are designed to provide optimum reliability and efficiency at low noise levels, according to Hyundai. The Hyundai BCS- 9 forklifts also include temperature sensors to ensure longer motor life.

The operator’s compartment on the Hyundai BCS- 9 lift trucks is ergonomically designed and includes an adjustable armrest;

a large, cushioned backrest; and a contoured, minimal-effort joystick, the company says.

An advanced 3.5-inch LCD color monitor with a self-diagnos-tic system provides such information as speed, steering-wheel position, travel direction, battery discharge, and work mode.

Heavy-duty forklifts: Komatsu Forklift U.S.A. has introduced its new FH- 2 Series heavy-duty forklifts, with Komatsu Tier- 4 Final diesel engines and capacities ranging from 8,000

to 11,000 pounds. The lift trucks feature Komatsu’s exclusive Hydro-Static Drive System (HS), closed-center load-sensing (CCLS) hydraulic system, and Komtrax GPS-based wireless information delivery and asset tracking system.

The company says the FH- 2 Series trucks, which are designed for fast-paced, demanding environments, incorporate field-prov-en drive and control components that have long been used in Komatsu’s construction equipment. (Komatsu Forklift U.S.A., www.komatsuamerica.com)
