Three-wheel sit-down truck: The
Raymond Corp. has introduced the new
Model 4460 three-wheel sit-down counter-
balanced truck, which has a dual entry and
exit, a lower step height, and larger entry and
operator compartment.
The Model 4460 features an open-view
mast design with integral side shift, which
is combined with a three-stage mast and
full free lift. The Model 4460 has oil-cooled
disc brakes that reduce cost of ownership by
keeping the brakes free of dust and
debris, the company says.
The company also unveiled a
new virtual reality (VR) training
simulator. Using a VR headset,
new operators train on prepro-grammed exercises in a
warehouse environment.
Because the simulator attaches to Raymond’s
trucks, trainees use it on the equipment they
will actually be driving. The simulator, which
augments OSHA-required classroom training,
allows operators to train with a coach by their
side before they take equipment out on the
warehouse floor for hands-on training. (The

Counterbalanced forklifts: Noblelift’s
new N Series three-wheel electric counterbalanced forklifts are designed to provide
high productivity at a
low operating cost. The
FE3D16/18/20N models
feature a 48-volt electrical Total AC system, all-around dual front-wheel
drive, a Curtis Intelligent
computer control system
with on-board Curtis self-diagnostics display,
and an open-side battery access door.
The Total AC system design utilizes two AC
drive motors and one AC hydraulic motor to
achieve high performance at minimal cost.
AC motors eliminate the need for motor
brush or contactor checks or replacements,
the company says.
The trucks are designed with a low-mount-ed battery to keep their center of gravity
closer to the ground, increasing stability. To
promote safety, the emergency power cutoff
is located at the right-hand side near the
control levers to ensure a prompt emergency stop in a dangerous situation. Additional
safety features include an operator presence
system that ensures the truck only operates
when the driver is seated and a parking brake
warning that indicates if the brake is properly
applied when the operator leaves the forklift.

Compact forklift: LiftKing says it has engineered its new LK135EL series forklift to provide the highest capacity within the smallest footprint. Although the new
model has a capacity of 13,500 pounds, it is no larger than a typical 12,000-pound
model, the company says.
The LK135EL, which is suitable for use in narrow warehouse aisles, has the ability
to operate inside a standard ISO container as well as to rack paper rolls three high.
The truck features dual AC drive motors with high tractive force, a dedicated AC
lift motor, full electronic speed and steering control, hydraulic over electric function
controls, and a high-capacity 80-volt battery. (LiftKing, www.liftking.com)
